BEGINS THE MOVIE. THIS MOVIE HAD MANY STARS AND SOME NEWCOMERS. AND, THIS MOVIE WAS VERY ENTERTAINING. I'M GLAD I PURCHASED THIS MOVIE. KUDOS TO THE ACTORS AND ACTRESSES OF THIS MOVIE. KUDOS TO THE DIRECTOR OF THIS MOVIE AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HELPED BRING THIS MOVIE TO THE SCREEN. PEACE!!!!

bought this live play for my mom. she seems to like it

Unfortunately I didn't get to catch the entire play when it aired live but from what I did see it was worth the purchase! Two thumbs up on capturing the essence of the original "The Wiz" and putting a youthful twist on it. FYI... this is NOT "The Wizard of Oz" (great movie also) nor is it meant to be

If you love the wizard of oz than you'll love the wiz. Dorothy is all grown up and she's on another adventure in oz with the scarecrow , tin man and the lion. Enjoy music and lyrics in the new wiz movie. A musical for all ages and kids will enjoy it for years to come.

Great remake of a classic Queen Latifah and the remaining cast were very worthy of this remake Judy Garland would be proud very entertaining for the entire family all ages will enjoy this from beginning to end. The story stays true to the original .

I missed this musical when it was originally on television. I'm so glad that they put it on dvd. This is a well put together stage musical that came alive on dvd. I'm happy that I got a chance to watch it, plus as many times as I'd like to. Love it!

This is a classic movie. I already knew that it would be great and it did not come to a shock that it was. They could have not picked a better actor and the music was outstanding if you were deciding on this movie you need to get it it's great

Truly, truly enjoyed this well made production of the Wiz Alive. The performers did an excellent job of acting. Graphics and choreography was superbly done. Clear picture and no problems.

I purchased this DVD at an excellent price and I was able to pick it up from a store within a day. I saw the musical on television a few months ago and I was surprised to see that Best Buy had it in their stock shortly after it was aired. Best Buy always has a great selection of movies.

After watching the live broadcast, I had to have the dvd. It did not disappoint. I listen to it everyday during my morning commute. I love the updated versions of the original musical and Shanice Williams is incredible. However, no one can compare to the incomparable Stephanie Mills.

Enjoyed this latest remake of the Wiz! More in step with the Stephanie Mills' Dorothy version than the Diana Ross movie version. My family truly enjoyed ALL versions, and this new version doesn't disappoint!

This DVD is a must have. It is a live Broadway show of the remix of the Wiz. The effects and graphics are great and the cast does a wonderful job. Kids and adults will love this movie.

The Wiz has always and will always have a place in my heart! I was beyond ecstatic when I finally was able to get a copy of the live version!

I bought this dvd because I missed this redo of "The Wiz" tv broadcast. I had seen the old movie version with Diana Ross & Michael Jackson. The old movie does show its age, but is still a very entertaining fantasy for me to watch. The staging of a televised "Live" production sounds like a very impressive feat. I have to give credit to the director and the technical staff for doing a great job in putting this tv show together. But the final product was a bit of a disappointing let down for me. I think I like the old movie better than this modern tv version.

I love the re-make of The Wiz. Great signing, great dancing & great actors. My child loves the re-make almost as much as the original

The music was great. Not as good as the original but that may just be because I am use to that version. The colors were bright and vivid. They did a good job of making it relevant today.

I really enjoyed the making of The Wiz Live production it was great to see the process!

This DVD and the musical is awesome. I wished that I could have purchased a Blu-Ray, but, it wasn't available. I love it.

A very good movie for the whole family I would recommend this movie for everyone to see I give this movie a 5 star rating

Saw this on NBC live and had to get the DVD. My daughter loves this DVD and was thrilled to get it for Christmas!
