Many positive and negative things have been said about this film since its release in theaters. Firstly I would say that like other films made about criminals these characters in this film are not supposed to be sympathetic. If viewers find themselves relating to some of them in this film it is due to Terence Winter’s great writing and Martin Scorsese’s equally great directing. Both have experience with presenting bad people that never the less seem interesting or at least interesting enough to watch in a film or television series. This film is about the extreme excesses surrounding the world of Wall Street focusing on one firm that seems to take that excess even further. These characters are despicable people yet are entertaining to watch as they spiral downward like in most great crime films. These criminals just happen to be white collar. The best way to watch this is to simply sit back and watch this circus of depravity without taking it too seriously. That may be tricky considering it is a true story and the man most responsible is out of prison and now making money off of his story. Hopefully he will donate his proceeds to charity, but I doubt it. Some people are just shameful opportunists.

The Goodfellas of the stock market! This is a great one to watch... Mature audiences only...

Steelbook is cool and all but I wouldn't pay the extra again just for the packaging. The movie is great and looks awesome.

If you like movies based on true stories this is pretty entertaining. Leo does a good job.

the visuals and colors in Wolf of Wall Street look far better than standard dvd

A good release with plenty of laughs in it. Plus a throw back to the 80's.

The first time I saw this film I didn't think DiCaprio pulled off the role well enough, but after treating myself to the 4K steelbook and viewing a couple more times, I realize he and Scorsese are the perfect team to bring this story to the screen. The video and audio quality are top notch. The cinematography and soundtrack are just as entertaining as the story. Some of the funniest moments Scorsese set to film.

Can’t believe that this is a true story, the event are totally unbelievable

This is a great movie for anyone wanting to watch something rated R and trying to see some adults only cinema. DiCaprio and Jonah Hill both give amazing performances, and certainly make you wish you could live like that even if just for a few hours. The only real problems with the film I saw were the overall story and the length. The story of the wall street broker's rise to power and fall from grace isn't much different than what you would see in Wall Street or Boiler Room. The near 3 hour run time is also a bit much, and it feels like there were some scenes that probably could have been cut in order to have made the movie not so drawn out. Despite these minor problems, this is still a great movie.

Great sound and video quality. I like the acting and the suspense

The Wolf is the hilarious & true story about Jordan Belfort who ruled Wall Street through his greed & determination. Dicaprio is incredible as Belfort and the rest of the cast delivers in their roles (Even Jonah Hill). There are so many memorable scenes, the one where Belfort takes some outdated drugs is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The Wolf shows the ugly side of the excess & greed of stockbrokers. This is a Scorsese film so be prepared for a ton of profanity. The Wolf Pack extra feature shows Scorsese & the cast talking about their characters. It was interesting, I just wished there were more features about the real Jordan Belfort or a commentary.

I liked the movie. Seemed a little long though, but enjoyable

Have had my eye on this film for quite a while and happy we finally got it - and at a great price as well! I was worried that the digital copy might have expired because of the time it had passed since the film came out (but even if it had, would have been extremely happy to be able get the movie, in both blu-ray and DVD, and at such a great price!), but was happy to be able to easily redeem it to enjoy with my family. So then easily a great purchase!

Hands down one of the Leonardo DiCaprio’s movies - truly Oscar worthy. I picked up the Steelbook 4K version, I held off picking this one up on Blu-ray. I’m glad I waited and glad that the Steelbook was reasonably priced. The artwork isn’t the greatest, I actually prefer the Blu-ray Steelbook artwork but the movie itself and 4K transfer are great. Picked it up in store on release date.

A classic movie. I could watch it over and over. Ok

I thought this was an amazing film - full of energy and great performances. Specifically Leonardo DiCaprio. He is always a really amazing actor, but here he displays something I don't often see from him - humor. He is hysterical. The whole movie is really funny and moved at a great pace - I didn't feel the 3-hour length at all. Also, Jonah Hill - I think this is his best performance. He's fantastic too. If you like Scorcese, you won't be disappointed. This has the same kind of drama and humor you'd expect from him, but he's really at the top of his game with this film. I will be buying this as soon as it's available.

"The Wolf of Wall Street" is completely outrageous, hilarious, perverse, vulgar, and brilliant. In it's three hours of (mostly) depravity, it gets away with things that R-rated films usually don't or wouldn't even try. But this is no mere waltz in exploitative muck. There's a method to this madness sure, but a point as well. It's an exquisitely naughty satire... a send up that is to corporate and systemic corruption what "Taxi Driver" is to suppressed rage in the face of a collapsing infrastructure. The dark comedy of Terence Winter's script effectively cutting just as deep as the rebel yell of Paul Schrader's opus.

Great movie at a superb price from Best Buy! As I missed seeing the movie on the Big Screen, I did want to see it, and went to the Best Buy Closest to me...didn't even check to see if they had it in stock...they do such a great job, I knew they would have it when I wanted to buy it, and they didn't let me down. Enjoyed it on my home big screen on a TV purchased from The Best Buy, as well. It was also watched on a Blu-Ray player from Best Buy,..a Samsung that was recommended by their sales person, and it to is not only a great item, but was a "great buy".

Great movie, It was my first time watching it and I was very much impressed by both Leonardo dicaprios acting as well as the work from the director. I got this film for 5 dollars and that was an incredible deal. It was not only the dvd but it came with a copy of the film on blu-Ray and a digital code so I could have a digital copy of the movie. I would highly recommend this movie and I think this was a good purchase

Yet another classic Scorsese film. It's not just the obscene greed, unrepentant drug use, and ruthless capitalistic carnage that makes this film intriguing, but the strong relationships of this merry band of unscrupulous traders led by their king, their mentor, Wolfie. What it says about our culture and reverence for these very same vices would take an army of psychologists and counselors to collectively prognose. A classic into the human condition directed by a master in this area, and led by incredible performances by the entire cast.
