This movie is actually stronger than the second. There is a lot more plot, and as another poster discussed, it is rated PG-13, but is still very suspenseful. If you have some teenagers who might want something scary, it is a pretty good movie. The short-story Woman in Black is quite divine, so I was really let down with Woman in Black #1. However, there are a number of things that are pretty good in this sequel and there isn't the same expectation of it matching a written piece.

The first film is a masterpiece of horror! I love the book, the 1989 movie and stage play! As an extension of the Woman in Black universe, this is a fine entry! Great? No. Entertaining? Most definitely! Far better than many horror sequels and carries much of the same unsettling atmosphere of the first! While the first had scares a plenty, the sequel is quietly reserved and seems more interested in tension rather than scaring you although the final act will definitely give you a run for your money! Definitely recommend.

While not as strong as the first film, nevertheless this one stands on it's own. Doesn't really rely on the first film, but it doesn't hurt if you've seen it. Creepy lighting and cinematography, this has a classic old school feel to it - which is not a bad thing, especially if you're jaded with the "modern" gory, tacky jump scare filled fare that's out there. Good old fashioned ghost story.

I was a fan of the first Woman in Black movie. However, since this movie takes place around 30 years after the first with a whole new cast I was a bit worried. Nevertheless, after viewing part 2, I can say that I enjoyed the new setting of WWII Europe and the scares were about on par with the original. Worth a watch for horror film fans and not too scary for the younger crowd!

A decent old fashioned ghost story that relies more on character and atmosphere than jump scares. If you are a fan of found footage nonsense horror films than this is not for you. If you are looking for a solid, well crafted atmospheric ghost story you could do a lot worse.

The original movie didn't really need this sequel. That being said, the plot is original and there are good attempts of making this movie stand alone by itself. However, beware the true scare is that there are hints of there being a third movie to follow.

On the scale of a scary movie it has it's moments I found it more of a slow thriller with too much story and not enough thrills. However it was decent too watch but to purchased on blue Ray for 27 dollars save the money and rent it.

Very well done. Historically accurate retelling of the evacuation of English children from London to the country during WWII but with a horrific twist as only Hammer films could provide.

After seeing the first one, which was really good, I had to get the second one. Not as scary as the first one, but noteworthy. Some really good scenes that will shock you. Solid overall.

The characters come to life in this sequel to The Woman In Black. It will make your heart bleed for the heroine. Not as scary as the origional I'm afraid, but well worth the watch.

I saw the first one, and thought, this one would be better... It was ok aswell. It does keep you watching until the end cause it keeps you waiting for that big BOO moment,

The Woman in Black 2 is better than the first. It is very suspenseful and some thrilling moments. Definitely a movie to add to your collection.

This sequel was definitely better than the first movie. This movie kept you engaged to the very end. If horror suspense is what you enjoy, this will do it for you.

OMG this was sooooo scary. The first one left you wanting more. This one will make you not want to be alone in the dark.

Woman In Black 2 Angel of Death was just not that good. There was a lot of hipe amongst horror fans when this came out but, the hipe was over when the storyline sort of changed along with it's cheesy graphics. The movie takes Place during WWII in England. The story kind of stays true to the first Woman In Black (which is an excellent movie!). If one wants to see the next chapter in the Woman In Black series it might be worth renting before buying.

I actually sat through this one till the end. There were a couple parts where I jumped. Overall, it was decent.

Many people told me they thought it was better than the first. I disagree. It was good, the first was better.

Many times I stay away from seguals, but this is a great follow up to WOMAN IN BLACK. Highly recommended!!!!!

the movie was ok but the fisrt one was better it least thats what i thought some secound movies aren't as good as the first

Not as dark as the first, but explained a lot more about the woman in black. First one was better. A worthy sequel though.
