This is a nice collection of both of the theatrical The X-Files films, the first being fairly essential viewing in regards to the flow of the TV series. The second title, I Want To Believe, served as a nice loose conclusion to the series at its time and turned out well despite its many development issues. In short, if you're a fan of The X-Files then your library is in need of these two high-definition transfers.

You can't go wrong with this movie. I mean there are even 2 movies within 1 package. I love the X-Files and I would think any fan would like them too. Even if you don't know much about the Series the movies are stand alone and are very easy to follow.

'The X-Files: Fight the Future' is the epitome of the summer blockbuster. Fitting right between seasons 5 and 6, it fits in with the show's mythology while being accessible to people who have never seen the show before. A riveting ride from start to finish!
'The X-Files: I Want to Believe' is set six years after the television show ended and shows Mulder and Scully settled down into an unremarkable house in the country, Scully working as a doctor and Mulder hiding from the FBI as a still-wanted man. All that changes when they need him to find a missing agent, and thus Mulder & Scully are thrust back into the world of the paranormal. Definitely more of a stand alone, monster-of-the-week storyline -- and as such, was not as well received by fans -- and so long as one goes into it expecting a creepy story that doesn't really tie back into the show's mythology, you won't be disappointed. Not as good as 'Fight the Future', but worth having for any true devotee of the show.

This was great as the series had ended and this was a bonus for all the the X Files fans. It was a very good movie; done in the traditional X Files fashion and the relationship between Mulder and Scully was still very strong...a continuing saga that will never die in the hearts of all X Files fans. I always enjoyed the monster of the week better than the episodes that dealt with the mythology of the alien problems, and this movie is just that, monsters of all shapes and sizes. There is also the possibility of forgiveness and hope or the lack of either.

This package contains both the original X Files Fight the Future movie as well as the follow up, I Want to Believe. Fans generally consider the first to be a solid movie that brought the seminal 90s sci fi show to the big screen (it took place between the 5th and 6th seasons), and the second an OK film that is essentially a long "monster of the week" episode. But getting both films on Blu-ray (with the extras) for less than ten bucks is a great value. Consider it an appetizer before all 9 seasons are released on Blu-ray in December and the show returns to TV in 2016.

I had both movies once before and had traded those off when they were originally released separately several years ago. But now, due to the impending release of all 9 seasons of the X-Files series on Blu-ray in December, I decided to pick the movies up again. The movies aren't as good as the series itself was, but it is very entertaining. As far as I can remember, all the bonus features are there too. The price was right for the two movies.
I really recommend this for the X-Files completest!!

X-files: Fight the future & X-files: I want to believe Blu-Rays.
These are must have movies for other X-files fans like me. They are of great quality audio and video and great special features. They are also a great price for a 2 movie Blu-Ray set. So if you like the X-files movies and want them on Blu-Ray, go for it....

With the new 6 episode of X-Files coming out in 2016 I went back and watched ALL the episodes and picked up this Blu-ray 2-pack. Both films have good video and audio presentation and were enjoyable. I liked the first movie more than the seconds, but really enjoyed them both. This 2 disc set is a great deal!

Im so happy I found this 2 Pack, It was on back order when I bought it but it arrived sooner then expected :). I watched X-files off and on as a kid which I was only 3 so I didn't understand it much. Now with season 10 on I get to watch all 9 season and plus the 2 movies in order :)

This is a great classic drama movie with a twist of Sci-Fi thrown in for good measure. Classic Mulder and Scully interaction. Makes the TV seem even more real today with so much Government cover-ups going on. Maybe not so much the "Little Green Men" part.

I know, I know....the second movie is not very good. But still, anything X-Files is better than any of the procedurals on CBS right now. So this is a definite 4 stars, but I bump it to 5 just for the fact that both movies on Blu-ray are less than $8.....AWESOME!

If you haven't ever watched the X Files, watch these movies and you will want to get the entire series to start binge watching. Can't really explain the series myself. You will have to watch for yourself to know what is going on.

with a new mini series coming and the rest of the series coming out on bluray for x-mas, it's a great time to revisit these 2 films. the first one is definitely better, but both entertain thanks to Mulder & Scully!

Great movies based on the television series, and while the other double pack packages the original Blu-Ray releases in a boxset, this set comes in a single Blu-Ray case so it saves you shelf-space.

I just watched the entire run of the X Files, including these two movies, and overall I was pleasantly surprised. The second movie (I want to believe) gets a bad rap, but I think it does a good job of transitioning between the original series and the upcoming revival.

Both movies here have great quality. I don't normally like collections, but I was having trouble finding X Files: Fight the Future. The upside is that these movies are on separate discs, so I was able to print the original covers and make my own cases.
