A good start...

This "event series" was a good start, but needs more. I didn't care for the cliffhanger ending until I heard they might be doing another mini series. This series felt rushed and probably could have used at least 6 more episodes. I'm happy to see that same characters back, and I didn't mind the new agents (unlike most people who complained online.) If you loved the original series, this one will not disappoint.

Long time X-Files fans will love the nods all throughout what Fox calls the "Revival" series! There's not a series long storyline really present through most of the series, but almost each episode is a case itself. Each case / episode has a different X-Files feel to it. There are some clues to the original series long plots but still leaves plenty of mystery to lead onto another series!

Mulder and Scully are Back!!!
Definitely one of my all time favorite television shows. This mini series fulfilled my hunger for more after a long absence. I thoroughly enjoyed each episode and now I can watch episodes when I want. If you are a fan of X Files this is definitely a must have for you...

I'm know as a sucker for anything X-FIles and of course the series event or technically season 10 is a great chapter of the series. Except for 2 episodes the season is what us fans have wanting to see the great team up and chemistry of Fox Mulder and Dana Sully we also get to see The Lone Gunmen and of course Cancer Man. This is a must have for any XFiles fan

I wish they come back every two years with a new event series...so that we can all satisfy our sweet tooth from one of the best series ever to hit American Television.
Plus, there's nothing better in the world than seeing Scully and Mulder together. And Gillian Anderson is a World Treasure, hands down!

This short series tries an odd tact of presenting each episode as a stand alone and providing a different types of story that fans would be familiar with. You have the conspiracy story, a heavy and a comedic monster of the week and serious drama. So something for everyone. Duchovny and Anderson don't miss a beat and slip back into the beloved characters.

The Event Series (Season 10) is a microcosm of the entire series that came before. Everything is here - Stand alone episodes, episodes that further the alien invasion story along, and the obligatory tongue in cheek camp humor episode. Picture quality is excellent. Here's hoping for more to come.

Is it exactly the same? No. Is it as cool? Yeah, I think so. Would I continue to buy new X-Files Seasons? Definitely. If you own the other X-Files & STILL haven't bought this season - you really should. If you haven't started to collect yet, but have been thinking about it - start here.

Love scene Scully and Mulder back together again wish the series would have been longer and the cliffhanger in the six episode definitely wants more hopefully Hollywood will not disappoint us and renew the series they may be older but they're still one of the classiest agents on TV

I watched every episode of this show when I was younger. My entire family would gather and we'd cringe, cheer, and laugh our way through the seasons. We were all very excited when they did more shows and couldn't wait for the collection which was exactly what we wanted.

An good attempt to capture the original series

This "limited run?" series attempts to bring back the magic of the original show by using all of the key original cast members. For the most part it works - a few of the episodes are a bit tongue and cheek while the original series treated each episode much more seriously. But overall fans of the original will enjoy it.

Excellent post X-Files Series produced programs! These have been long awaited since the series ended so very long ago. The introduction of the two new characters is exciting as are the new episodes to watch. A must for the serious X-Files fan! Glad to see it in blu-ray!

We watch this new x-files last year when it was on TV. Didn't really like it that much. We watched all nine seasons plus the two movies and then watched the new series. We enjoyed it a lot better, it was so much like the series. Now that they left us hanging, I certainly hope that it comes back to rap it up??

Whether you are an avid X-Files watcher or new to the series, like me, this was an enjoyable event to watch. I have always followed Gillian and David and their on-screen chemistry and it's so wonderful to see them together again. Hoping for another special event!

Overall, the event series was a little bit of a disappointment. Started weak, ended weak and without any real resolution. No story arch for all 6 episodes. Scully and Mulder Meet the Were-Monster is possibly my favorite episode out of the full 10 seasons though which brought this set up to 4 stars from 2.

The discs are just fine. They play well with no obvious issues. Content is fine. The best episodes are the middle four, especially "...Were-monster", "Home Again", and "Babylon". The book end episodes were full of expository that didn't work so well on air but make more sense after viewing from home.

Was hoping that the rejuvenation of this series would be good but it was disappointing. A mixture of good episodes with not so good episodes and it was way too short. When it was over I thought "That's it?!? Only six episodes? After X Files fans have been waiting all these years?!?

Seriously Best Buy had all of the seasons of the X-Files on Blu-Ray on sale for $9.99. That is ridiculously cheap. They were out of most so I ordered them from my tablet as soon as I got in my car, a big thank you to Best Buy for living up to their name.

It was hokey at times. They tried to push things. However, I am very excited that I bought it. I watched all the episodes pretty quickly. It is not nearly as good as the heart of the series. However, it is much better than the last season without David D.

I'm biased when it comes to reviewing the X Files. This is still one of my favorite shows. This was not a perfect mini-run of shows. However, if you enjoyed the show at one time, it is interesting to revisit the relationship between Mulder and Scully, particularly when they discuss their son William.
