First off I will highly recommend wearing a pair of long pants and good socks the first few times you use this. They are a bit on the rough side as they inflate, especially early on until they are worn in a bit. The pressure is quite nice, at first I felt a little bit of claustrophobia as they tightened on my legs. That quickly subsided, but they were quite a bit rougher on the inside than I anticipated. You don't really realize it until they are inflated. After I got use to them, my legs felt a lot better than they normally do after mowing or a trek through the neighborhood. Fifteen to thirty minutes and my legs feel great. Best I can describe is the feeling after a good massage. However, my dog does not like the pump. He was growling at it every time it inflates. The battery life on these seem exceptional, a lot better than I anticipated. I figured I would be recharging at a minimum every week, but the second full charge is still lasting me into week two with plenty of battery left over. I am 6'4" and the large are a good fit for me, but they are way long for my wife who is 5'8". I can see people with larger legs having a difficult time finding a right size. If you can find a good fit you will be happy with the purchase. Therabody has contact info in the package if the size is incorrect for you. I did not need to contact them.

I run a 5k pretty regularly and this compression system helped with recovery for training sooo much! I cannot emphasize that this cut recovery down from a few days to just a day for me and I could get back to training for the next 5k that much faster.
