Totally blacks out all vision. Perfect for sleeping or migrains.

Perfect for people who sleep on their backs! For side sleepers like me, not so much as the mask puts a bit of pressure on the side of my face.

Cheap build quality. Not sure what the methodologies are, but they did not work for me. The only time I used it, I ended up awake for hours past my bedtime. It was troublesome than helpful for my sleep!

Just okay didn’t necessarily help me get to sleep faster.

Makes for a great gift for the person who has everything!

It’s very loud. It’s okay if you don’t turn it on.

I returned it. I did not like it. The band was still to tight after I let it out all the way

I am not one who has historically used a sleep mask, but I must say I am tremendously impressed with just how dark this mask is. I have worn other masks before and all of them have allowed light to bleed in on the sides (or even through the material itself). That is definitely not the case with this mask. Even in daylight, it is pitch black. Aside from its light-blocking capabilities, the mask itself is also very comfortable to wear. The material is comfortable and does not irritate my skin at all. The elastic strap on the back is also comfortable and does not "bind up" on the back of my head. It also does a pretty good job of keeping the mask in place. Now, with that being said, I am not sure about the vibrating feature of the mask. They state it is supposed to help you sleep better, but I cannot get past the buzzing sound. Even though it is rather quiet, relatively speaking, it is directly on your face in what would presumably be a quiet room. Maybe this is why they market the use of their smartphone app to play background white noise... The sound from the phone would drown out the noise from the mask's vibration. Beyond the sound, the vibration really doesn't do much for me. There are three different settings built into the mask, but I was hard pressed to tell the difference between them and, when trying to sleep, the vibration is more annoying than anything. The vibration is subtle, so it is not over the top intrusive, but it just does not work for me. When using this mask, I use it because it is super dark. That's about it. Again, they advertise using their application with the mask, but the application has nothing to do with the mask itself. (It does not sync with the app, nor does the app provide any customization.) The app is just for the generation of background noise. Ultimately, as a darkening mask, this product works very well. It is very dark. As for the vibration feature, I am not a fan, but that is not to say other people wouldn't like it. That is a matter of personal preference, I suspect.

This thing is awful if you read the "clinical trials" I think the science is based on 12 bored people living in Modesto, CA who had nothing better to do that wear a mask to earn a free cup of Starbucks

The Therabody SleepMask is made of a soft, breathable fabric that easily adapts to any face shape. It has an adjustable strap that keeps it in place and the contour really blocks out light. Even with lights on, I couldn't see a thing. It offers three vibration settings and two levels for each setting, for a combination of six options. Once you find the one you prefer, the SleepMask remembers and will return to that setting the next time you use it. It has a built-in timer that turns the device off after fifteen minutes. I guess their research determined this was the optimal amount of time for someone to fall asleep. I had thought it would stay on all night, but I guess once you're asleep you no longer need the vibration! SleepMask can be used with the TheraMind sound therapy app which offers music and audio to help you relax and sleep better. The inner liner of the mask is washable, and everything fits in the soft-sided carrying pouch, including the USB-C charging cord. A single charge allows you to enjoy up to sixteen (15 minute) sleep sessions. It's also an FDA registered medical device and qualifies for HSA/FSA spending. Although the SleepMask says it is designed to be worn in every sleep position, I found it uncomfortable when lying on my side. The vibration noise was more noticeable on my side, but barely audible when lying on my back. If you're a back-sleeper, this would be awesome! I'll continue to use it as the "black-out" feature works really well! (It would also be great for those short, 15-minute afternoon naps) Great product and I'd give it a 5 if it was more comfortable for side-sleepers.

The Therabody Sleep Mask is a super comfortable sleep mask designed to block out light and provide a light massage. The mask is well thought out and offers a washable cushion and storage bag to keep things clean. It is also rechargeable. I've used it for 5 nights and haven't needed to recharge it yet, so I would say battery life is good. There are 3 settings for the vibration pattern, each with a low and high intensity level. I barely felt the low intensity setting, so high was better for me. The mask is very comfortable. The only issue I had was that if I squinted my eyes while wearing the mask it would ride up my face and need to be repositioned. Otherwise, the mask is very effective at blocking out light. I can see it being very useful for those needing to sleep during the day. So, I don't generally sleep well. I was hoping the Therabody Face Mask would help. From my experience, I wasn't able to get to sleep faster and sleep more soundly with the mask on. That's not to say it won't be effective for you. But if you need to sleep during daylight hours and already wear a mask, this mask is comfortable and effective at blocking light and the vibration is an added bonus. I recommend this product from the perspective that if you don't sleep well, you should try anything and everything to improve your sleep and quality of life. You owe it to yourself to give the Therabody Face Mask a try.

The Therabody Sleepmask comes really well packaged and includes a nice travel pouch, a USB-C charging cable and a large instruction booklet that describes cleaning and usage in many languages. I was really hoping this would be a solution to my sleep issues... not so much though. While it has some great concepts for a sleep mask, and was great at blocking out light, it just didn't help me. I usually have a hard time falling asleep and even worse time at staying asleep so was hoping and praying this was going to be a great help for me. I usually wear just a light sleep mask and have a white noise fan blowing but there are those nights that nothing really works. Hense trying this Therabody Sleep mask with Vibration Therapy - maybe this is what would be my solution... After unboxing and washing the mask piece and storage bag, I made sure I had a full charge on the base unit. Night 1, got comfy, fan going and went through the variation of massaging vibrations. It has a fabulous blackout feature coupled with great softness and comfort. I settled on the lightest vibration setting I could find because the others were way too much for my comfort. The light pulse was gentle enough to relax me and some nights helped me relax enough to fall right to sleep on my back. I did however not find it not as comfortable on my side, especially if I had the vibration going as the noise was very loud while on my side - so back to being on my back it was. I tried this routine for the full week hoping it would get better - just didn't work as I had hoped. After a few nights of wearing the mask, I did find it helped relax me somewhat but some nights it kind of was a bother because I am more comfortable on my side and that noise just didn't work for me - I am a very light sleeper... It did help keep all the light out, but my lightweight sleep mask does the exact same thing, and it is so light that I don't even know it is on. The SleepMask slipped off in the middle of the night so some nights it landed on the floor as I just didn't feel like readjusting it back on. I do believe that this would be a great mask for taking naps during the day, but I do not have that opportunity. Also, I think it would be great for plane rides to block out the light and further relax you during a flight with some of the variations of massaging vibration. I will definitely give it a try on my next flight, but probably won't rely on it at bedtime.

I find it relaxing, but not helpful for sleeping. 3 stars. I don't love it, but I also don't hate it. I was really wanting to love it. I hoped it would help me fall asleep faster, sleep deeper and stay asleep longer. It doesn't do any of those for me. There is a lot to like about this mask. The mask is a little bit bulky, but still fairly comfortable. It blocks out all light. The vibration settings are variable enough to find a favorite and it keeps the last setting you used when turned back on (a big plus for me). The vibrations are relaxing and feel good around my tired eyes at the end of the day. The vibrations run for a good amount of time and I love the way it gently fades to off. The Therabody app has a lot of good options for relaxing music that fades away to help relax my mind and try to cover the noise of the vibrations. There's only one very easy to find button to operate powering on and off/scroll through vibration options. The strap really doesn't get tangled in hair. There is a lock function for traveling so it doesn't get turned on accidently and run the battery down. The battery doesn't take long to charge and it keeps a charge for many days. Comes in a nice, thick pouch to keep it in during the day and when traveling with it. Easy to wash inner liner and outer shell. With all that I should be able to sleep well with this mask, but I don't. I'm a side sleeper and the mask being a bit bulky makes it push slightly against my face, I end up needing to adjust my head and pillow several times trying to find a good spot. Being a side sleeper makes the vibrations loud even on the low setting. Anyone who sleeps on their side knows how noise can be amplified with your ear on the pillow. The app helps a little. I don't think it would be a problem for a back sleeper. I have not been able to fall asleep with it yet after multiple nights, different vibration settings, different app sounds. I've tried restarting it to give more time to work. I find it to be very relaxing with black out, vibration and app music in the background. It's good for easing tension, probably helpful for minor headaches, but it does not help me with sleep at all.

Not the best sleep mask! The vibration is not calming but the material feels amazing!
