It was really easy to use and it worked even better than i thought it would

The massage gun is powerful and strong…when it works. I got the first one delivered and it never worked and they had to replace it. The second one I have now randomly shuts off in the middle of use and won’t power back on unless I plug it in to charge, even at 100% battery life. For a massage gun this expensive you’d hope it works everytime. And the heat setting doesn’t stay on and only works every so often.

Whether you're athletic, health-conscious, or just prone to everyday aches and pains, the Theragun PRO Plus is your answer for advanced preparation and recovery. With multiple gun attachments, a clear on-screen display, and an intuitive, easy-to-follow app, the PRO Plus covers everything to keep you in the best condition before and after a workout or activity.
In my family, the kids play soccer, basketball, and run track, keeping them fit and active year-round. My wife has daily F-45 classes and the occasional 5-10K events, while I am an avid pickleball and tennis player. The Theragun PRO Plus is the perfect device for each one of us. It has a routine for almost any activity and body part, and when connected with the app, getting warmed up or cooled down is completely hassle-free.
The device packaging is sturdy, and as you open it, it has step-by-step instructions for uncovering this fitness gem from the box. Inside you will find the Theragun PRO Plus along with a small manual, several attachment heads, charging cable, and a large Neoprene case that comes with content listing under the flap. The dual zippers separating the gun layer and the attachment layer is a nice touch.
This device is pretty hefty, but routines do not last longer than ten minutes or so, and most have periods of alternating attachment heads or shifting hands to keep you from feeling the weight too badly. Following a routine on the app is by far the recommended way to go, as most routines have full video tutorials on how to hold and position the gun, along with real-time optimization for applying the proper pressure on your body areas. With the app, you can also save personalized therapies and activity-specific routines, and with your permission, data from connected activity trackers and apps can be used to optimize your prep and recovery as well.
If the app isn't readily available to you, the small LCD screen is just as easy to follow, with uploaded routines such as sleep prep and back pain as well as a customizable quick start option to get you up and running again in no time.
With seven attachments that provide unique routines, I found the dampener and heat attachment heads to be the most useful. Attaching and detaching is very quick, with a sharp twist in the corresponding direction on the front of the gun. This device is also equipped with infrared LED lights for another layer of therapy that is applied simultaneously with vibration, heat, and percussive therapies. Oddly, a cold therapy attachment is sold separately. The Theragun PRO Plus is not waterproof, and its rechargeable battery runs for around two hours before needing a fill-up.
Applications of this device present huge benefits, from a daily massage for reduced tension and stimulating circulation, to post-workouts and high-level activities for reducing pain and improving recovery. The Theragun PRO Plus is easy to use and provides instant relief and results. Don't settle for less when it comes to your health and well-being.

For the price, I expected to be blown away. Works well on larger muscle groups (legs) but I found the attachments to be ineffective for my back. Would probably only recommend to a runner looking to ease soreness in their legs.

Therabody Theragun PRO Plus
10/11/2023
A 46-year old runner training for his fastest half-marathon race. A 21-year old college student with a fused and herniated disc causing daily pain. A 45-year old working mom with a genetic disposition for varicose veins. What all three have in common is a love for the relief provided by the Therabody massage products.
We’ve been a family of the Therabody massage experience for a couple of years now starting first with the Theragun Elite then adding a Theragun Prime. Throughout the day our house is filled with the the sound of the gentle vibrations these devices provide. My wife loves the Elite so much that it’s written into our wedding vows that I’ll use it on her daily. If that’s not enough of a product endorsement for why you need to buy one of these things let’s talk about what else has improved with the latest Pro Plus.
The triangle design is now smaller in diameter leading to a fatter shape that manages to feel more comfortable to hold then previous iterations. Or as my wife likes to point out, now I can use it on her longer than before without feeling fatigue. A switch to USB-C for device charging means one less cable to find when it needs a charge. Hooray!
The LCD display screen is easier to read even when the device is at it’s highest massage speed making it quick and simple to toggle LED light therapy and increase the heat with the heat attachment.
By far the best new improvement is how the attachments connect. Previously it was a ball-lock mechanism that requires forcefully pulling the attachment off. I don’t like to admit how many times my elbow has hit nearby walls, arm rests, or headboards as a result. The new design is a insert/twist-to-lock with clearly marked arrows that allow for proper alignment. THANK YOU Therabody!
Speaking of attachments, what Therabody refers to as “therapies,” there are several new additions to the standard lineup which produce some juicy results. The heat attachment has become the new favorite for every session with the wife. I’m loving the new vibration attachment for ankle work after runs and we’re finding the micro-point is helpful around the knees and toes. Even more helpful is that the carrying case now has a graphic and a description of each therapy so you never have to guess what each one is for.
The carrying case has also undergone some major redesign allowing for proper storage of the therapies on one side and the body on the other which is a huge improvement over the previous cases.
The addition of a biometric sensor allows for on-device heart rate readings and we tried a couple of them, but we already wear Apple Watches so we aren’t finding much value in this functionality.
Another change is that in previous iterations of the mobile app, choosing a routine presented a 2D rendering of the body part that was supposed to be massaged with arrows guiding you through the intended routine. It was clear what you were supposed to be doing. These have been replaced with videos of humans using the device on themselves. For the ones we’ve tried Therabody’s decision to keep the mens shirts on while they use it on their back make them a bit more confusing though indirectly showcasing how to properly hold the device while using it on yourself is helpful. Video playback on my iPhone 14 Pro Max was jerky at times but we’ve found that seeing the video once is usually enough that we don’t really need to refer back to it. It would be nice to see some kind of toggle switch to enable or disable the videos.
If you find yourself in need of a massage therapy this device is a must have.

Out of the box the overall presentation is nice. The soft side case has two sides. (top and bottom compartments)
On the top, each attachment is separated with a description on the top flap. The bottom of the case holds the Theragun Pro Plus. I do wish the case was hard sided instead of soft for more protection.
Each attachment is well built and now twists on/off the Theragun instead of plug and pull. It is easier and quicker to change heads. However all the old attachments are no longer compatible due to this change. So I can't use the soft foam or duo adapter from my pervious model on this new PRO Plus.
The new attachments such as vibration works well and does what it suppose to. It vibrates without the percussion and used for more sensitive areas where your bones are. The heated attachment is great and heats up fast and the best this is you don't have to charge it separately and the function is integrated with the Theragun. I have the cold attachment on order and I'm sure it's great too.
Hear rate monitor- Easy to use by putting your finger on it and the Theragun provides haptic feedback on when to inhale and exhale. Great function but I could have been ok without it by lowering the price of the unit or include the cold attachment.
LED Light- At first I thought it would be ineffective but you do being to feel the infared heat when used in the same area for a longer period of time. Depending on how you hold the Theragun, at times you could block the light with your hands/fingers.
Massage- Same feel with the 16mm Amplitude. I do feel that it is slightly quieter than the pervious pro model. However the stall force is a bit weaker. Shouldn't be a problem unless you are pressing hard against the part you are massaging. Battery life is on par with pervious model but it does drain faster if you have the heat, light and massage on all at the same time.
$600 is alot to spend on a massage gun but I do feel its worth it. If this is your first Theragun and want all the bells and whistle, then this is the one to purchase. If you have the pervious gen Pro or elite then spending another $600 to update is hard to swallow. If you think the heat/cold, heart rate, Led light and vibration is useful, then go for it. As of right now this is the king of massage guns.

I owned the original Theragun for a number of years, and being an athlete I've dependent on it often to aid in warm-up and recovery. I thought about upgrading many times, but most of the past upgrades from the original Theragun have been well-done but minimal--quieter, smaller, etc. The Pro Plus is the first upgrade, at least that I know of, that offers features that go well beyond percussion.
Theraguns have always been really good at their base functionality... soothing sore tired muscles, getting muscles warmed up for activity, relieving joint pain. But the new Pro Plus takes things much further. Besides the typical attachments like the wedge and the standard ball, it also comes with a dampener for sensitive areas, a micro point attachment for increasing stimulation and circulation, and a thumb attachment for trigger points and knots. But for me, the most exciting new attachments are the vibration attachment and the heat attachment. A cold attachment is also available for purchase, but it's not included, so I haven't had a chance to try it yet. These new attachments make the Theragun very complete. The vibration attachment helps to increase blood flow, and the heat attachment, though I'm sure it has its own benefits, just feels amazing!
The Therabody app is amazing! There are pre-made programs you can select that will cause the Theragun to activate and then detailed instructions with videos in the app to guide you. There are also breathing exercises to help you sleep, to help you reduce your heart rate, and to relieve stress.
I don't have room to tell you about all the features the Pro Plus has, but I'll say this; if you're a human being, much less an athlete, the Pro Plus will definitely increase the quality of your life. And if you've previously owned a Theragun, this is definitely a worthy upgrade.

I have used cheaper massager before getting this and this massage is very well made. Made of TPU and plastic and does well very well made. The handle is good and easy to hold to. The massager has different attachments. The attachments are now actually screwed in which is more secure.
Standard Ball - This is for overall body.
Dampner - I use this for thighs, to reduce pain
Thumb - This is my go to attachment for my lower back!
Wedge - Best for shoulder blade.
Micro-point - This is for increasing circulation but i dont use it
It has an LED light therapy not sure how effective it is.
The heat therapy does work very well on the lower back.
Love the USB C charging and i dont have to keep taking a proprietary charging cable everywhere. The Battery life is rated at 150 mins. i think i was about to get about 120-140 minutes out of it.
Basically worth it.
