I bought this fan to cool electronics because it is USB powered. It is small but it runs incredibly quietly and has a dial to control the fan speed. It really cools down things well and is durable because it has an outer metal protection. The stand is also stable and useful.

Multicore processors, high performance video cards and the litany of other peripherals you can put in a PC generate lots of heat. Most PC cases are great at getting rid of that heat, but if you place your PC in a computer desk, that heat may have trouble escaping. Most desks have very poor ventilation and purchasing "cabinet fans' can be very expensive. This 4" fan comes with a stand and plugs into an available USB port. It runs when the PC is on and it stops when it is off. It is even variable speed. All for $15, how can you go wrong!

    Works great with PS3

I purchased this fan to help keep our Sony Playstation 3 cool. I moved the PS3 to a compartment in the TV stand with a door and I decided it would be a good idea to add a cooling fan to ensure sufficient air flow to keep the PS3 cool. It plugs into one of the USB ports on the PS3 and comes on when the PS3 is turned on. I've owned this fan for 2 months now with no trouble. The fan speed is adjustable, but I just keep it at the highest setting. I haven't had any overheating issues with the PS3 while the fan is connected, but I haven't tried running it with the fan off to see if the additional cooling is truly needed. I purchased the fan as insurance to help the PS3 run efficiently and last as long as possible.

I bought this to cool down my Sprint Overdrive 4G Mobile HotSpot. My Overdrive is fast and works great, the only problem: it gets hot as a pistol and automatically shuts down to prevent overheating. I would lose my Internet at the most inconvenient times. After rebooting several times a day, I put the Overdrive on top of the Thermaltake fan, and whala, no more overheating. Great product.
