Got it to use in a pinch waiting for other parts to come by mail. Note it only has one PCI-e connector. Seems to be sturdily built.

I wish it had another 6 pin so I could power my graphics card without an adapter (molex to 6 pin) but it's all good

We're sure it's a fantastic supply source; however it was not compatible for our unit.

Power supply fan stopped working after 40 days. Bestbuy store would not change they tell you to call manufacturer for warranty who made you pay for expensive shipping to Asia and wait for a month and a half due to they need to test first and then they will decide if is cover under warranty as there CSR said. As a business I went elsewhere to purchase a new one for business computer to work. I would never again buy anything with this brand and Also Bestbuy should not sell something they can stand for.

Read the specs closely. This one has limited connections and didn't quite meet the need for the last build that required a 400+PS.

This brand has enjoyed an excellent reputation for many years. However, after less than 48 hours, this unit arced and smoked. No other in stock in store, replaced with store brand, been a month without issues.

Excellent 430W Power Supply for the price

Just picked up this power supply today. I was a little skeptical at first, seeing it is less than $45. After an easy installation it fired right up. I was shocked at how quiet it is. One of the great things about it is it has above 20A on a single rail, which the majority of the higher end PCI-E video cards require nowadays. I doubt it would have enough power to run SLI or crossfire but it's perfect for your average gaming PC with a couple DVD drives, hard drives, and PCI-E video card which requires a 6 pin feed. All in all it's a great power supply for only $43.99!!

    Really Thermaltake, REALLY??

I could go on and on, but I'm going to keep this short. Pros - Runs smooth and easily puts out reliable power - Easy to install - Cool looking - Cords are wrapped for better airflow Cons - ONLY 2 Sata connectors on the same cord! Worse yet, the connectors are only separated by about 4 inches. Soooo if you hook up your CD and what to hook up something else like....ohhh i dunno...a HARD DRIVE, then forget it. It's not happening. Conclusion I would not buy this PSU again. Despite being a reliable PSU, I really expect better from Thermaltake. I don't know who came up with the bright idea of only putting 2 Sata connectors on the same cord (making it almost effectively 1 sata connector really since the connectors are so close), but I'm seriously disappointed. I suppose I *COULD* order some molex to Sata adaptors for the 15 bijillion molex connectors that Thermaltake put on this PSU, but should I REALLY be forced to do this just to run both my CD and HDD? Thermaltake seriously needs to rethink their design here. They would have a rock solid PSU at an affordable price here if they simply changed 2 molex to Sata.

My computer did not start up at all, no power, no lights, no fans, no nothing. Uh oh, the original power supply went bad. I went online and found this perfect replacement at best buy, and it was on sale too. This unit is 130 watts more than my HP original, fit perfect, and was very easy to install. Can't go wrong with fixing your own computer for 40 bucks. I did have to rearrange my drives to make use of both S-ATA plugs, since they share the same cord. The plugs are 4 inches apart. Easy fix though.

Actually fit my application nicely (Dell Dimension 9100). The mounting holes even lined up but there is a slight gap underneath the supply, but I can deal with it. There are lots of 4-pin molex connectors and the close/short wire lengths resulted in nice and neat wiring for my optical drives that were stacked on top of each other. However, my SATA hard drives are mounted horizontally on the bottom of the case, and the 2 SATA connectors were daisy-chained too short to reach both drives. However, a cheap $5 SATA extension will solve that problem easily. Note: my computer is used as a server so I don't need a lot of horsepower/quality, just something that works. Also, the second (currently un-powered hard drive) is a backup drive, so I can live without it until I get the extension. Lots of connectors and fit my application nicely. Although cheap in price, it seems well put together.

    Fixed my PC starting problem

I started having start-up problems on my Dell PC about three months ago. At first, I would open up the case and reset all the component plugs to the motherboard. That worked for a while. Then I tried resetting the RAM. That also worked a time or two. Finally last week, no matter what I did, the PC wouldn't power on. The PSU would light up and the motherboard would light up but absolutely no power other than that. I did some research online and found a few other people with my PC model with the same problem. Some said they replaced the PSU and that fixed the problem. Others said they had to replace the motherboard. I decided to try replacing the PSU first. I bought this unit (the Thermaltake 430w TR2 ATX Power Supply#. Installing it was easy; it fit my Dell computer case perfectly. Once it was installed and all hooked up, I plugged it in, pressed the power switch, and it instantly started! The fan runs quiet and I think it is doing a better job of keeping my computer case cooler. As a bonus, I now have 70w more power should I need it. The only drawback is the short distance between component power plugs. It would be nice if they were spaced a little bit farther apart. I understand that you don't want longer cables taking up all the tight space inside a computer, but a little more distance between plugs would be nice. I was able to work around the problem though. This unit came with five SATA plugs and I only needed three, so I was able to skip a plug and use one further down the cable. I also don't have a PCIe card that needs power from the PSU. If I did, making the cable reach from a SATA component to the PCIe in the back of the computer would be very difficult if not impossible. And I have a mini-tower. Still, all-in-all, this PSU is thus far working very well for me and I consider it to be a good deal and a high-quality product. #Did I mention that it comes with a 5-year warranty?)

This is a very nice power supply. The fan is very quiet and I really liked the cable management it comes with. All wires are long enough and nothing is stretched out from component to component. It has plenty of power hookups.
