Great quality 430 W PSU for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this online and picked it up at the store shortly after. I've never installed a Power supply unit before so this was my first time. The installation was easy even for me and the quality is great. The Power supply wires/connections for your devices are wrapped in snakeskin like tubing. Its got a PCI-E 6-pin connector for my AMD RADEON 7770 card. Great product for someone that needs a power supply quickly and installed easily the SAME DAY:)

Good HONEST Review of TT TR2 430w PSU
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a new version of this power supply. The older version had a single 12v rail of 18 amps and only put out 350 watts according to professional reviews on the internet. This newer version has TWO 12 volt rails. One has 15 amps and the other 14 amps. This version is also heavier than the older version though it uses the same box and dual 80mm fans (I do have the older version for comparison). Now I don't have thousands of dollars worth of PSU test equipment or lie and read on line reviews and say I test the output of this newer version of the tr2 430w power supply. I do know that this one runs quieter and runs my quad core computer with a mid range video card quiet well with all voltage rails very stable under load using a multi meter to verify. Thermaltake even offers a 5 year warranty on it. It is not a high end PSU by any means, but it will deliver solid power to a moderate pc and is an improvement over it's predecessor.

Great! Cords a bit wonky but works like a charm!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I put it together. Plugged it in and the computer whirred to life! Then died... Oh no... I got a DOA... I went back, opened her up again and my dumb self realized "You didn't even plug in the CPU connector properly!" So I do that and while I'm putting all the screws back in place I find a notice that says " WARNING: Use correct AC switch, failure to do so will cause permanent damage and void your warranty!" I remembered tampering with the volt switch. So I quickly ran over to plug it back in the the wall and plug everything back in. To my relief it whirred to life and stayed that way... phew. Anyways... I'm using it to type this review and it's whisper quiet. I had concerns about noise when I first turned it on but after 5 minutes it went away. Happy with my purchase, great value! I just need to make sure now that it stays relatively quiet while playing those high end games I bought for the PSU to power GPU for.

Just What You Need
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Power Supply to do a repair on a family member's PC. It needed to be done fast. I went to the Best Buy Website, found the most economical, basic but not the cheapest power supply I could find and ordered it for pickup. It was ready right away. I got it and installed it in 20 minutes and that is all I wanted and needed. Works great and now the PC has some extra power.

Better Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had upgraded the video card on a new tower I bought and when i did I was told I needed a more powerful power supply for it so I had to upgrade that as well. I trust the geek squad and went with their recommendation and in the long run they actually saved me money. I was originally going to use something that was going to cost almost twice as much as what I really needed but the geek squad agent stepped in and helped me out. Best Buy is good in that way, they take care of their customers first.

Good basic power supply
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good unit, easy to install...like the fact that the wires are dressed so that it doesn't look bad, especially since I have a clear case. The only thing that could be improved is the quality of the plugs as I had a tough time plugging them into a couple of drives.

Good upgrade for those lousy stock PSUs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to upgrade from a stock 250w PSU in my PC. I don' t understand why PC Manufacturers can't just shell out an extra $20 and have a decent watted PSU come stock with the machine. Good price and was easy to install. Please note that the SATA connectors are a little weak. I ended up breaking one when simply trying to connect it. Specs are good for the price. Not a bad little PSU just handle with care. Make sure you have enough connections available or you might not to get an adapter. I was able to take a two SATA adapters from the stock PSU off of my new HP and used them in connecting optical drives and hard drives. I am running a GT430 video graphics card off of it and it runs fine.

Works like its suppose to.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price it does what its suppose to and has been working good non stop for about 3 weeks now. The only problem i had was that the cords were so long for a small desktop case.

TR2 430
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These work on every thing I've sold with a single 6 pin graphics card. I use mostly window sided cases where noise would surely be noticable if present. If they were a little more efficient, the heat would be decreased. I've never found one to make noise, or to be defective.

Easy replacement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace my PSU that died. Swapped it in with no problem. This is a pretty quiet unit, only had it a day but so far I'm happy. BTW - other reviews that complain about only 2 SATA connectors must be outdated. The version I bought has at least 4.

Great Price, Great Performance!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a great power supply replacement. This fills the need for a quick and available power supply replacement and offers the power needed for PC's that have been expanded to exceed the original power supply capability installed at first build.

Works normal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good quality power supply, cables and ends are nice quality. It is not 80 Plus certified so I can't recommend it. Your better off buying an energy efficient unit which will save the extra cost if any many times over.

Average PSU
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this power supply to replace a failed power supply in my other machine. Installation was easy as power supplies are pretty much standard. The few issues I've had with it is the cabling. If I need to put anything else in my case I'd probably need some type of cable extension. (It is in a microatx case) Also, there aren't enough adapters. For the price I would have expected a little bit better. Having said that I run my computer 24/7 and it seems to be pretty reliable. (although it's only been a few months) If you don't need the cable length, extra adapter and get this on sale this would be a good option.

Good...if you get a good one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the power supply is good...if you don't get a dead one. First one I got was rattling the next day. Replaced and it works perfectly fine. Cant use a graphics card that requires 2 PCI-E connectors since it only has one. Otherwise powers my system that I used on my TV great. Would recommend if the price is good. Amazon price match 31.99. PSU is quiet and all mounting holes lined up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this PSU to replace the original in a HP Pavilion that would not power on if you shut the computer down. The PSU was the same size and mounting holes all lined up perfectly. The biggest complaint I had was there was only 1 SATA cable with 2 connectors that are way too close. I was OK with that since I had a molex to SATA extender cable that I used for the two hard disk and the original SATA cable on the PSU I used for the CD/DVD drive. The only other complaint I had was the mesh that covered the harasses is way to stiff. If you have a full tower is might be OK, but with a mid tower it was difficult to bend the cables.

Noisy fan
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased and installed this product today, everything is as in the description, although I immediately noticed the fan makes a high-pitched whining sound. Could be a deal breaker eventually.

Old tech connections
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Problem: I've got a three-year-old computer that needed a new power supply. This was the only one the the local Best Buy had on the shelf so I bought it. I've got a dvd drive and two hard drives and they all take sata connections. So the first problem is that this thing only has two sata connectors with a very short section of wire between them. First thought is, "I can connect the two hard drives." Guess again - the wire between the connectors is so short that I couldn't connect two hard drives that were side-by-side. Solution: I've ordered a 4-pin to 5-pin sata conversion/splitter that I will connect to one of the otherwise useless 4-pin connectors. When it comes in I'll be able to connect all three of my sata devices. Until then I'm only powering the main hard drive. Other than that, it fit just fine in my Dell and worked right the first time. I like the power switch on the back, the original didn't have one.
