Dud - poor battery life

All meat thermometers I’ve ever had have been this brand. Today I will stop this trend. Bought the new Thermo pro spike. Works well on steak and pork chops but anything on the grill more than 2hrs wont work. My battery consistently dies between 2-3hrs. Very disappointing. I only recently found this out since I don't smoke meats in winter but now I am outside the return window. Spend a little more money and buy a better brand.

I formerly had a "Meater" thermometer and this is much better. Has held up well and, most importantly, you can tell if it's charged/charging or not! Way better cost point too.
