Cult movie that is fun to watch. Glad it is Blu Ray.

A classic movie and beautifuly rescanned I love it!

John Carpenter needs no introduction. From his horror classics like Halloween or The Thing, through futuristic (for its time) action works like Escape from New York, he is an accomplished storyteller. They Live! may not be an entirely serious film. It is layered with corny one-liners and campy atmosphere. Nevertheless, it also stresses the importance of our own thoughts, encouraging us to prioritize them over conformity promoted by the media. Although not as grand as some of Carpenter's other works, it remains a worthy addition to his filmography. The Shout! Collector's Edition offers a decent amount if engaging and interesting extra bonus features. Pick it up... but make sure to make up your own mind about it!

What an amazing film this was back in the 80's . This film was ahead of its time. The cult status this film garners is deserving. Shout Factory is like Arrow they publish cult movies and take the time and care these movies deserve. The Blu ray transfer is amazing. Every single major studio needs to take note on Shout factory and Arrow and how to properly transfer older movies to Blu Ray. Besides the great transfer Shout factory caters to their fans the way a studio should and the blu ray is loaded with extras. The blu ray also comes with a reversible cover. I switched my cover since I love the original movie art. RIP Rowdey Piper. If you don't know the premise of the move than I wont spoil it for you. Buy this NOW>

This great John Carpenter classic looks better than it ever has before. The HDR coloring is fantastic, and really brings a lot of additional eye candy to look at. There’s definitely an uptick in detail over the regular blu-ray, however minimal it is, but it’s still noticeable. And for the audio, the Dolby 7.1 TrueHD mix is a revelation! If you’re a fan of John Carpenter and a 4K enthusiast, this disc is definitely worth the price!

Great flick, great transfer. Doesn't look quite as nice as the Thing 4k, but I'm sure that is the source. Hilariously goofy, surprisingly layered, and featuring one of the best (and most ridiculous) fistfights in cinema history - a good one to watch when you're all out of bubblegum.

This movie was awesome, and it looked great in 4K! For a movie that came out in 1988, it has held up well over time and looks like a theatrical release. The 4K version of the movie has made big improvements on a movie that I have and thought looked good on blu-ray. With 4K, this movie has made drastic improvements. This movie is a must have for movie lovers everywhere!

They Live is another John Carpenter classic. Anyone familiar with John Carpenter knows the hype is real. They Live is one of the many cult classics. Everything about the movie, 4K transfer, and bonus features are amazing. My only complaint is there is no digital code included. However, that is a minor disappointment. This is still a must have addition to your film library.

I was very excited when I saw this movie came out in 4k steelbook collectors box .I snatched it up immediately. I Love this movie very kool story about aliens hiding in plain site and can only be seen with special kind of glasses. Loved it when I was a kid and still love it.

Had already seen this movie many many years ago on TV. So this was the first uncensored/4K experience I'd had with it. Still a really great movie, the only reason for taking off the star was because it didn't come with a digital copy. If you're gonna charge over $20 for an over 30 year old movie, just put the digital copy in there. Otherwise, very enjoyable

great 80's movie. John Carpenter always puts out the best movies. it's got great extras commentary, behind the scenes and a few little documentaries of the cast and crew. It's one of the must haves for your collection, if you enjoy watching movies from the 80's. Roddy Piper is in it of of the great 80's wrestlers of the WWF.

This is John Carpenter's most prophetic movie. It is strangely relevant to the world we live in today with all of the subliminal messaging in everything. Fantastic 4K video quality of this somewhat forgotten gem from Carpenter. Highly recommended.

This movie was awesome years ago & still holds up today. Even more so. May have the best fight scene ever filmed in a movie. John Carpenter will go down as one of the best American filmmakers.

An absolute classic in my books, I could watch this movie all the time. The Atmos support is a great addition and I am glad to see more and more movies are supporting it for the system I have set up. A classic from John Carpenter and a must have for fans!

This is John Carpenter’s best at mixing horror with science fiction. A most interesting conceptualized story of identifying who is the human right next to you, is he/she human or an alien? Why don’t you put on the special sunglasses and find out.

The eighties had all different kinds of sci fi's i.e. Close Encounters of the 3rd kind, Aliens & the Thing J Carpenters' but "they live" had rawdy rod piper (wwf) wrestler in the lead trying to get people to believe in an alien invasion "wear your sunglasses". And less we forget "Allen nation". They live is fun, has action and humor it's a good movie.
