I have a 2 year old and a 10 month old. Before purchasing, I read some reviews which mentioned this was too scary for their 3 year olds. At first I was worried, but purchased anyway to decide on our own. We all watched together and the kids did not want to turn it off. Yes, there is an overall darker tone but my children were not frightened or upset one bit.
