Excellent moive for probably the hardest superhero to actually realize on film. Kenneth Brannagh's classical sensability really served the movie well. It is a bit annoying that THOR is rarely in his iconic helmet but that's a small gripe I guess. Oh! and I finally know the correct pronunciation for Mjolnir!

This movie could have been an epic disaster, having not been much of a fan of Thor, i didn't have high expectations for the film but I am glad the directors and writers didn't try to over due it! Thor is a very enjoyable and easy to follow film (Yes! Even for the ladies!) I'm not going to give away any spoilers but it was a great introduction to one of the final members of the upcoming Avengers movie in 2012. The movie itself is encoded 1080p/AVC MPEG-4, and simply makes New Mexico's dessert lands look crisp and stunning! #MUSTOWN

With comic book movies moving more toward reality and how everything can be logically explained, I was curious how Thor would be treated. The guy is a God from another world/dimension. I was very impressed how it was handled. It felt genuine and done in a way that I could accept as a comic book/movie fan. Great movie and great blu ray quality.

The cast was wonderful for this movie. The story kept you interested from start to finish. Plus seeing an action movie without the nudity scenes was great.

This is an awesome movie. Good casting and great story line. If you're not familiar with Asatru this is a good introduction to some of the main characters in the Norse religion. Great action scenes and the 3D is totally worth the extra money. Comic book movies aren't usually my thing, but this movie is awesome.

I watch this movie over and over again. The whole movie is great but the best part is the picture/graphics. Such great quality, I just can't get enough of this movie!

I really enjoyed this movie alot . Saw it in the theather 4x's ! I thought Anthony Hopkins did an exellent job as playing Thor's Father ! It had a sad ending to it though ! The movie is worth buying .

I love that you do not have to know anything about the comic to enjoy this movie. Great actors and special effects galore. A little romance thrown in for good measure so everybody will love it.

The film opens in a realm and/or planet far removed from Earth and human existence. We’re given a brief overview of the major events in its history and then we’re introduced to its royal family battlefield conqueror, Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth). After disobeying his father, Odin (played by Anthony Hopkins) he is banished to Earth and stripped of his godlike abilities. Enter Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). While studying anomalous events in the atmosphere under the guidance of her mentor Erik Selwig (Stellan Skarsgard) and with the not-so-able assistance of Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), she bears witness to Thor’s banishment or rather the tornado-like occurrence that made it possible. This intrigues Foster and after a brief period of reticence she hopes to offer help to Thor and, at the same time, elicit any information he might have that could help her in her work. All the while, turmoil in Thor’s realm could potentially destroy both it and Earth. I’d not seen Hemsworth before and while the part requires very little beyond physicality, he is adequate at least. The “earthlings”, are good enough as are those from Thor’s home planet and the story is about what I expect. It’s not amazing, it’s not awful. Basically, it’s just a good time at the movies.

This is my first 3D Movie purchase. While the movies are more expensive, the viewing experience and the quality of the product give a better picture than that of the theater!

I was never a huge Thor fan growing up, but now I love the character and his story. He transitions from arrogant to humble and really grows throughout the movie.

Thor Was Extremly Good The Acting Was Great The Movie Was Great And The Character Of Thor Was Explained Perfectly ANd Played Perfect And The Chemistry Between Chris And Natalie Was Very Believable

What an excellent movie! Much better than I thought it would be based on my recollection of the Thor character from the comics. Recommended for fans of superhero genre movies.

Thor is the 4th movie in the Marvel Avengers series. You need to see it before seeing the Avengers movie since there are a lot of things that point back to something explained in this movie. It is a movie that would never have won an award but its still a lot of fun to watch.

I actually had higher expectations for this movie. And with Anthony Hopkins in it, It had potential. But the story was nothing new. I was disappointed with it. It wasn't a total waste, but it could have been better, in book. With that said, the actors in it really were good.

This was an enjoyable movie and I would recommend watching it before watching the Avengers but it is not completely necessary. The special effects were excellent. It is worth adding to your collection if you're a sci-fi/superhero movie fan.

Enjoyed this movie, and am happy to report that viewing it in 3D in the home is way!!!!!!!!!!!!!! better and far less dark than it was in the theater

Ok I am pretty bias here as I love Thor in general, but this movie, THIS MOVIE, is brilliant. Space Vikings, giant hammers, and a great performance by Chris Hemsworth make this movie easy to watch again and again and again. Buy it NOW.

Steelbook is great, and the 4k is worth the upgrade! Happy with my purchase!

This movie is an excellent retelling of Marvel's story of the Thunder god, Thor. And it makes a great shift to the Avengers movie.
