I am 13 years old, and here is my review of "Michael Jackson: Thriller: The 25th Anniversary Edition".
When I saw Michael Jackson for over a decade, i did not know until the mid-late February 2008, that MJ was a big star back in 1982-1984, of course he was a star when he toured with his brothers (Jackie, Marlon, Randy, Jermaine, Tito) (back in 1968-1977, 1980, 1981, 1984) throughout 40 years. with his early singles "ABC", "I Want You Back", "Who's Loving You?", "Rockin' Robin", "Dancin' Machine", "Good Times", etc.
Michael Jackson was the young heartthrob in 1971, where he released his solo album "Got to Be There", The ever-popular Billboard 200 peak his album (my prediction was #27), and he was mostly tutored by Diana Ross (who, critics, fans said they was in "love"?), since then, Michael introduced his dancing talents in 1976, where he and his entire family starred in live TV program, "The Jacksons" (canceled in 1977) and showed some of his acting skills (evident in 1978's "The Wiz").
"Off The Wall" proved that Michael was a quiet, smart, young 21/22-year old R&B singer (the 1979-80 version of "Chris Brown" and "Ne-Yo"), and had 4 #1 singles, including the ballad "She's Out of My Life". Quincy Jones produced the album, and it became a success towards the end of 1979 & 1980.
"Thriller", showcases when MJ was the first African-American to go the White House to receive an Award (May 14, 1984), win eight Grammy Awards on the 26th Anniversary television special on CBS (February 28, 1984), won 11 AMA (American Music Awards, January 27, 1984), and three MTV Video Music Awards (September 1984). "Thriller" was released on 11/30/1982, and became the "BIGGEST SELLING ALBUM of ALL TIME!", no matter what people thought about him, or how he acted in public, MJ was the real deal.
Hit singles from 1982's Grammy-winning masterpiece, "Thriller" (the seven hit singles) started to make him bigger than the new president, a hit movie, a ratings winning TV show, etc.
"P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)", is the most-known, equally notice song on the album, dealing with MJ singing to a cute, sexy, girl in a mid-tempo R&B jam by James Ingram & Quincy Jones.
"The Girl is Mine" was a camp-friendly song with Beatles' member/Grammy-winning Paul McCartney (Jackson also appeared on "The Man" and "Say, Say, Say" with Paul McCartney) when two men fight over a girl, sayng the one could love her a lot more.
"Wanna Be Startin Somethin'" dealt with Jackson in the media, among other techniques and conflicts.
"Beat It" was the homage to "West Side Story" and real-life gangs across the U.S.
"Billie Jean", the biggest-selling single deal with MJ singing about a groupie who fathered her child, and claiming that it was Michael's baby.
"Human Nature" was the moodiest record of all, talking about the beauty in a land or a city.
"Baby Be Mine" was another R&B jam where MJ talk about him and his girlfriend could "share this ectasy as long as we believe in love."
"The Lady in My Life" was an R&B ballad that MJ sung about a girl and him, being together, and talking about the things that most couples would do together, and would not leave each other.
"Thriller" was the memorable record for a quarter century, talking about the zombies, monsters raving at people, and with its memorable hook, followed by an ending with a rap by the late Vincent Price. and the choreography was popular that had Mary J. Blige, Keyshia Cole, Naomi Campbell, Usher, among others watching/talking about the video, and has become a phoneomeon.
The new remixes are the best, my ultimate favorites are: "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) 2008" and "Billie Jean 2008", where Will.i.am and Akon break down into their singing modes.
This album is the great for all ages, i got it, and i can't stop with MJ.! he is my idol for forever!

The First 9 songs on the cd are Household songs and The remixes.....

P.Y.T. 2008 f/ Will. i. am. more of the funk on this cd in a way that only Michael and Will can do. (the original version of P.Y.T. - Demo from Michael's Ultimate Collection Box cd/dvd is what started this. It's slammin'!!!)

Billie Jean( Kanye West Remix) it gets no funkier than this. Kanye...need i say more? The only thing is that Kanye should've laced this track with some of His Own Lyrics but still it's funky!

Its not really too much that needs to be said that has not already been said. Kids...if you were born in the 90's you NEED to listen to this album and hear and lean what an album SHOULD sound like.

Honest MJ Fan Review

First off I just come out and say that I am truly one of the biggest MJ fans alive. I still spin Off The Wall and Thriller often on the old record player. I wasn't very excited when I first heard about the remakes. Then I actually heard them. Way off! These are the wrong people to hear in a MJ song. I can't stand Justin Timberlake but would have understood if he was on this album. Usher would have been great as well. Choose people that you can hear in their music were influenced by MJ, not people who just say it. The remixes get one star, the originals 5 stars.
My recommendation don't buy this. Buy the original Thriller. It'll save your ears the pain of listening to one of these aweful remixes if you have something set to random. Plus with the money you save you might be able to pick up Off The Wall, which is probably his second best album.
