A Good Unit for the Price

Compared to my previous HOTAS, a Saitek X52, I prefer this. Once you update the firmware it's reliable and consistent in its performance. It doesn't even spontaneously reboot itself, recalibrating so whatever position it was in at the time of the reboot is suddenly Point Zero. All of these make it a vast improvement over the X52. The one problem I have is the presence of a rocker on the front of the throttle. It's huge so I frequently find myself using it without meaning to. It seems to be hardwired as a backup for the stick's rotation axis so you can't just unbind it either. If it weren't for this I probably would have rated it as a 5.

Excellent on PC for Flight Simulator!

I bought this flight stick for Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC and it has not disappointed. The build quality is good for $80. It easily connects to the PC via USB, just make sure you install the required driver. I also tried it briefly with my PS4 Pro with Ace Combat 7. It worked fine, but I just do not like that game. The only complaint I have is that I wish the cable between the flight stick and throttle was a bit longer so I could mount it on my cockpit using the including screw holes. That is a small complaint, particularly at this price point. Buy with confidence!

Game changer... Bought Star wars Squadrons and I want having any fun with the PS5 controller. Figured I would try this before I returned the game.. So glad I did. Makes the game play more realistic and gives you the true experience the game designer intended. Not to say it makes it any easier... The game is still wicked hard until you get the control down. Slow deliberate movements not fast jerky ones young Jedi

I bought it for ac7, it turns out works perfectly fun in vr mode. Although there only 3 missions for vr. For those who expect improve the performance of multiplayer experience. The answer is no from my experience, but I still like to use in multiplayer mode. Feeling of all bottom are cheap, the change weapon button easily got pressed mistakenly. Won't expect too much for a 50 doller controller, while all others production are around 3 digits. Speed controller does stop in neutral position, but with no resistance for acceleration and deceleration. Mapping is different in Manu but won't hurt you after get used to it. My machine gun aiming does get better.

    Very comfortable and Good Joystick

I like the build quality (feels sturdy and a solid base), the tension of the joystick can be adjusted, and it can be used together or separate from each other (throttle and joystick). The only thing I wish I could change is how loose the throttle is. You can tell when it is halfway, but it is just flimsy in-between the minimum, maximum, and halfway points. It is still good and some velcro strips should fix it.

I bought this on sale specifically for use with Ace Combat 7 and Star Wars: Squadrons on my PS4 Pro and PSVR. It's contoured nicely for the hands and is very comfortable. The controls feel very responsive during flight and combat. For the price, you can't beat it. I think it's a must have for budget flight sim enthusiasts.

I have the Playstation 3 version of this same controller. As much as I had wished for a way to make that one work for my Playstation 4, there was no way, (unless you know how to decipher all of the videos of people that claim they did.) I love flight simulation games of all descriptions; Atmospheric or space versions. Fixed, rotary or futuristic space drive systems. While I am comfortable with the Playstation controllers, they're not the greatest for flying games. After I purchased Elite Dangerous, it became very apparent that I was in need of a better flight control device than the standard controller. (Too many "fines" for excessive time in the space dock entrance, while exiting the stations.) After finding a major sale reduction on the Thrustmaster HOTAS 4, for the Playstation 4, I knew it was time for me to break down and buy this! I have no regrets whatsoever! (And I've yet to get anymore space dock fines on Elite Dangerous!) Based on my experience with the Playstation 3 HOTAS, I knew the quality of the Thrustmasters devices and had no fear that this one would perform any less, or be of any lower quality. Connection to the system was flawless. It was immediately recognized by the Playstation 4, and capable of being used for the home screen navigation. In game, the controls performed without a hitch. In fact, because of the button layout on the flight stick and throttle, (which can separate, via an Allen wrench and four screws on the bottom,) I was able to easily utilize in game controls that were extremely difficult on the standard Playstation controller. Each button on the standard controller is represented on either the flight stick or the throttle. The flight stick itself is capable of a "twist" feature, that will allow rudder control on an aircraft. If that isn't to your liking, there is a rocker lever on the front of the throttle grip that will function as a rudder control as well. I haven't tried any other games, other than Elite Dangerous, but I feel quite confident that it's performance will more than exceed my needs. A very good purchase for anyone that fancies themselves a flight sim fan.

    Great for Ace Combat 7

I got it only to play AC7, and it's pretty good. The joystick is slightly big for my hand, but it's easy to use. However the thrust has almost no feedback, it's just too easy to handle and you have to pay attention to the speed all the time. The buttons are OK, easy to push by mistake in the heat of the battle, in times it's frustrating. The cable between the joystick and thrust is too short, but manageable, you just need to adjust your style. Overall you get what you paid for so I can't complain.

Great, thoroughly enjoy this new joystick with the flight simulators I have installed on my pc. Great price, BB has not increased price since first trying to order in January 2021. So many other retailers are increasing prices to ridiculous amounts due to pandemic shortages. Did hate the amount of time it took to receive after purchasing and the slow notification of when it was ready for pickup. Thankful to BB to have it and to be using now. If you need a value priced joystick get it.

You get what you pay for, no doubt. However, this is good quality and by far the best value for lower end HOTAS. I use it for PS4 but primarily bought to use with VR(PC) and it works pretty well. Highly recommended for those wanting to try a HOTAS out for VR/PC or Playstation without spending 200+

    Great features but needs work

I purchased this device primarily to play Elite Dangerous on the PC, the fact that it worked for both PC and PS4 was an added value. This device worked great for the first month that I had it and then it would always drift to the left. I followed the directions for allow it to re-calibrate but that didn't help. This could have just been a one off instance for my device but I didn't want to chance it while I was within my return window. That being said, for the value it has a great set of features that aren't covered completely in the product description. For example, the device does separate so that it can be used with Throttle on the left and stick on the right and the cable is just long enough to reach around a keyboard. It can also be screwed together at the base with an included wrench so that it can be used on a small table or your lap when playing on the PS4. There are other small features that are nice as well. This isn't a device on the same scale as a Saitek HOTAS but for the value it's a good product so long as you don't get one that's defective in the first couple of months.

    Better control for flight games

I am new to gaming, looking for some fun in this pandemic being stuck in the house and this flight stick really, really adds to flying games. The reason I couldn't give it 5 stars is that it only works with just 6 games and sometimes I have to power the PS4 console down for it to reset my settings in the middle of a game, even though it has the latest firmware. Compared to the standard PS4 controller this stick allows great control and adds excitement to your playing.

as my first HOTAS joystick, it works awesomely on the PC and the PS4 (hopefully ps5 too), and i have no complaints except for when i was playing Elite Dangerous where the twist gets "stuck" in a weird way where it wasn't to yaw to the right. sometimes its possible to unstick it, but a deadzone might have to be set to auto correct it. Also, while its a great set of sticks, within a year it'll show those signs yaw issue and will audiably do that plastic creeking sound like its going to break. Use this joystick to learn how to fly with a HOTAS, on the way to a better set of sticks.

Bought this flight stick specifically to use with my PS4 VR Headset to give me a more realistic control of Ace Combat 7. This thing handles and feels just a little like the more expensive joysticks but obviously not quite as precise. There is a kind of lose feel to the thruster control but I can get past that when you have your VR headset on. I’d definitely say that if you want that realistic feel for your flight games for both PlayStation 4 and PC but don’t want to speed to much on a joystick, then this is a awesome alternative.

This controller works very well with Star Wars Squadrons running on a PS4. Add a PSVR headset and headphones and it really feels like you flying Rebel and Imperial starfighters. I did not test this with a PC yet but it is compatible with PC as well. Don't forget the old school X-Wing and Tie Fighter games for PC which the Thrustmaster Hotas 4 would be a great choice to use with. The controller seems durable but I would have preferred spending a bit more for more metal and less plastic materials.

Works properly and fits larger hands. 2 issues I have are that the cord connecting the throttle to the stick is too short and there is no way to lengthen it. A connector would have been nice to allow to adjust the length as needed. A headphone jack would have been really cool as well. But other than that for the cost it is great and works with the PS4 without issue.

Very good flight stick. Would be perfect if it had force feedback. The flight stick would immediately go into a death spiral and I thought it was broken out of the box. I found out you have to update the drivers so I connect to a laptop and downloaded the drivers. Works perfect!

Although I only have a handful of games that are compatible with this stick, at least to me it is worth it. This works well, I have had no problems with using it and the build quality is solid enough. I can play my PC flight games as well.
