This is for the real fans of the Fritz the Cat movie!

If you're expecting an early version of Star Wars, you'll be disappointed. This film is not for everyone, but it's always interesting to look at the early work of groundbreaking artists. The plot isn't particularly complicated (neither was Star Wars') but as you would expect from Lucas, the imagery is compelling. The commentary by Lucas and Murch is very detailed, highly recommended listen for film buffs.

I recommend this film for anyone who wants to see George Lucas very first film.

THX 1138 is a great movie, but it's not for everyone. I watched this with a friend, I enjoyed it, they did not.

An underrated dystopian scifi movie from George Lucas. A nice directorial debut for him!

hoped to get a little insight into the mind of a young George Lucas. He's something of an enigama to me - I love the first two Star Wars movies (episodes IV and V), American Graffitti, the Indiana Jones movies...but then there are the very disappointing later Star Wars movies, Ewoks, Jar-jar, the dance routine added to Episode VI...what gives? Well, after THX....I'm still confused. Still, it was worth a viewing, maybe even multiple viewings.

Georege Lucas is rightfully known for the Star Wars franchise but his first film THX1138 remains one of his best. It can be a bit slow at times and certainly isn't one of the family friendly adventures that Lucas is known for but it is a great first film from a then unknown director and worth checking out for fans of science fiction.

I love this classic , I was watching some George Lucas classic and I thought it would be great to see TXH 1138 again, so I went to BestBuy online and cop it …..

This is George Lucas' first feature film, but is not his most accessible

Look at the time when this movie was made and compare with what is going on today! This movie is prophetic in the message. It’s as simple as that.

Was interested to get George Lucas first film as I am a fan of his movies. Movie is very stark and dated. Probably mostly an actors movie because of dialogue but not much scenery as in his later movies. If you want to view his first attempt you may be interested.

THE MOVIE WAS GOOD TO WATCH AND ENJOYED IT. SOUNDED GOOD.

This is an above average film that Lucas fans should own.

I got this movie based on the fact that it was George Lucas's first works. I'll admit I was a bit lost. It was waiting for the answer but the end left me thinking I had lost two hours I'll never get back. Sorry George

THX1138 is a solid flick, but I wish it was available in it's unaltered form. The director's cut CGI footage sticks out of this 70s movie like a sore thumb.

Robert Duvall , Donald Pleasance are both terrific in this very cool Sci-Fi classic by George Lucas.
