The first one was defective, but the second one works well. I recommend connecting and verifying yours works immediately. After about 15 minutes on the phone with TiVo they determined the device was defective and recommend that I return it to the store where I bought it. Sounded like a number of these devices are defective. Setup took a couple hours for all the updates to download and install.

I already have a tivo in the living room(roamio ota) and added this to one to one of the bedrooms, it does take a tuner out of the 4 it has so keep that in mind. It's not wireless so it needs an ethernet to connect it, there's a option of adding a wireless on the tivo website tivo wifi 5 adapter but make sure you have 5ghz, it won't work with 2.4 ghz.

I added this unit instead of a Roku Ultra. It uses one of the tuners from my Tivo Bolt Vox. No additional cost. from Tivo.

I like the TiVo mini, the only problem I have is that they keep updating the remote but not the hardware. There still is no Wifi built in so you must spend $50 more for that adapter and there is now a third generation of these devices. Also, the software is hugely lagging behind other devices. There are basically no apps that are fully usable and some that are entirely not, like HBO. They have not added a single new app. Not to mention that if you don't go crazy on the support you get these nice pre-roll ads on your recordings for Tivo+. You guessed it a worthless piece of junk that they are shoving in your face for no reason. I would say buy a TiVo because they have this great software but that has definitely changed probably because they haven't updated a device after it's release at all. And instead they are focusing on a failing streaming product. I am pretty sure TiVo will fail as a company and the user base will be left hanging. The customer service has gotten reprehensible, the policies are trash especially with regards to their devices being defective, and the quality of everything has decreased. But hey, they got a streaming device that is worse at streaming than my TV....

Better than most (Roku, etc.), but the Apple TV is a much better choice.

The TiVo mini VOX is a great device to add to your TiVo system. I have a TiVo Roamio Plus in one room and two TiVO MINI VOX units in separate roomS. I'm able to view all my recordings on my TiVo Roamio from my minis. Just be sure to get a MOCA Bridge adapter so your minis can receive the signal and recordings from the main TiVo unit, in my case the TiVo Roamio Plus. One of the great benefits is that you won't need your rented cable boxes! MONEY SAVED

This is sctually a great device. A little over priced, but picture quality is outstanding and apps run well.

I replaced my gen 1 and the performance is much more stable. I love the remote finder too and voice search.

Great solution for ditching a HUGE part of your cable bill. These are easy to set up and easier to use.

The Tivo mini Vox is a must have to take utilize multi room recording and viewing through Roamio or Bolt Tivo units. Yes there are new Android apps coming down the pike but if you use cable or HD signal this is still a worthwhile investment especially with all the consolidation of the media market and fragmentation of streaming services too. If you have a compatible Tivo already just get it, you will not be disappointed.

I love the new mini. It’s much faster and more stable. The voice remote works well too. Worth the upgrade!

This device allows me to view all of my saved shows on my main Tivo in a different room, such as the bedroom, guestroom, office or kitchen. I've had other TIVO Mini's before and I find that these are convenient, affordable, and work fine. I would highly recommend these for additional Televisions throughout the house, especially if you Tivo a lot of programs such as we do in our house.

This is our third TiVo Mini and they have saved us a lot of money since we already have two TiVos (Premiere and Roamio) that they can pull tuners from and don't require subscriptions. Out of the box, the unit will boot with the latest Hydra firmware, but after seeing that neither of our boxes had been udpated, it downgraded. Setup was a little wonky as the screen kept blacking out, but after the downgrade, everything was smooth.

I purchased this device after my earlier purchase of a Tivo Bolt 1TB at Best Buy. The Mini allowed me to get rid of my last Fios set top box and provides great quality cable viewing and works off of the cable card in my Bolt. The staff at my local Best Buy also helped me select the Tivo equipment and cable I needed to support the LG OLED TV I had purchased earlier. Great products and service I couldn't have gotten easily with an online purchase.

You need this to have full access to your main DVR and live cable channels and not pay the cable company for each box! Comes with lifetime service so no extra fees. Add to each room over cable or ethernet to have access to all recordings on the main unit. Also comes with apps for netflix, and many others.

Upgraded from old Mini. Noticeably faster plus have the updated remote with voice commands!

I purchased the TiVo Mini Vox to have access to TiVo on our bedroom TV. This device took a few hours to connect to the TiVo service, but once it was connected it has worked fine. I do notice that it does take a bit longer to connect to the main TiVo Bolt OT DVR, but it works just as fast once the Mini is connected and running. A little pricey, but works seamlessly with the Bolt.

I upgraded from my old mini, and it works great. Much faster for Netflix, YouTube, etc.

Excellent Product to have with the Tivo Vox so you can watch programs in other rooms of the house.
