I can't say enough about this album. I saw Van Halen back in the day, in the 70's, and they sounded just as good now, as they did then. If you love Van Halen, pick this treasure up, you will not be disappointed...

Dave's voice may be shot, but the boys still bring the Rock. Eddie, Wolf and Alex, sound amazing.

Roth's voice may leave a bit to be desired but the rest of the band holds it together.

What David Lee Roth lacks in vocals, Eddie makes up with stellar guitar work. The band really misses Michael Anthony as well. Not a bad purchase if you're a BIG fan and you find it on sale. Only way to save for their way overpriced concert tickets.

Ignore complaints about vocals - DLR is hilarious on this album & eddies guitar tone slays - get it and have fun with it!! Live version of I'm the one is worth price of cd alone

Being a huge Van Halen fan I was shocked when I saw this in the store. I had no idea it was coming out so I was doing the happy dance! Then I listened to it. Musically and background vocal-wise it's great. What drags it down is David Lee Roth's "singing" and I put singing in quotation marks for a reason. He was pretty good on some songs but some songs are pretty bad. If he had actually sang this could have been a five start review. If you're a Van Halen fan you'll have to have it, like I did. I don't regret buying it but it could have been so much better if David Lee sang instead of almost talking the lyrics and off key sometimes at that.

I purchased this cd for nostalgia's sake and am relatively satisfied for what it is. The band (minus Michael Anthony who is ably replaced by the next generation of Van Halens) sounds stellar, but the vocals of David Lee Roth are a little rough, but hey, it's better than Gary Cherrone, right?

The band is AMAZING!! The song selection is AMAZING!! The vocals are awful. That is when Dave feels like singing and not ad-libbling. I guess if you accept this is how he has always been, you will like it

I love van halen with david lee roth, but he has lost his voice, he still chatters like a rock star but his singing s poor, I bought this right after I got tickets to the concert here in KS, same at the live concert, the band kicks butt still, but david stinks

I got to see them perform most of these songs live in 2013. The album is a great representation of that show. Unfortunately, that means that the album highlights the fact that Dave's voice isn't what it used to be and they miss Michael signing the harmonies.

Thia is the 1st live Van Halen CD with David Lee Roth on vocals. I love that it's not cleaned up in the studio, so the mistakes are there for everyone to hear. It makes it more authentic.
