Great movie about a favorite author....... Did you know a group of people who love Tolkien's books are raising over 5 million dollars to buy his home, not far from Oxford, UK and turn it into a culture study center in his name?

An interesting concept jumping from a youth to adult Tolkien character. The acting was very good as was the cinematography. It was not necessarily the story-line I expected but I still found it a worthwhile viewing.

Great performances by the cast, it is a fantastic movie held by great visuals and it's always awesome to learn more life facts and history about the best fiction writer of all time!

Definitely a must watch. It encapsulates his journey growing up and the experiences that would make the great storyteller that he is today. A must watch for every Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fans.

I really enjoyed how they use imagery in flash backs to show how he got the ideas for the books. I also enjoyed the chemistry between Lily Collins and Nicholas Hoult. Good movie over all.

The experiences of J.R.R. Tolkien shape the stories of The Hobbits and The Lord of The Rings. Tolkien is a great story of friendship and faith in a dream.

Very under rated movie. The plot is very good and you can see where his friendship and being in World War 1 influences the writing of the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings.

I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of purchasing online & curbside pick up with BestBuy - however I have not watched the movie yet it was a gift.

I’m sure there’s some creative license here, and I wish they had included more about how his faith influenced him, but I enjoyed the movie. Recommend.

I loved this movie J.R.R. TOLKIEN books and the movies that they have mad out of the books are great and it is good to know some thing about hem.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I felt like I needed to see it. Being a Tolkien, Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fan I couldn't have been more pleased with the movie.

So glad there is a movie about one of my favorite authors. Will watch it over and over :)

This awesome movie it brings the story to life as an amazing story I recommend anyone to buy this movie if you’re a big fan of Tolkien.

Tolkien was a great movie about the writer of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Also other stuff. Movie was well produced and enjoyable.

Interesting history around Tolkien and the war years. Parts were really good, but had some weak spots in direction and filming.

Excellent film! Best Buy's price was the best. Good family feature and interesting to learn more about Tolkien's early years.

Seems like a good movie. I have yet to watch it, it was on sale in store. I’m a huge lord of the rings fan.
