Best Strategy game (on the consoles)

Tom Clancy's End War has been eagerly anticipated by fans of the series and RTS's in general. I hate to break it to you but End War is not what we had hoped for. The game offers a bad storyline, typical of Tom Clancy games, and an above average multiplayer experience.
The controls in the game are above average with great voice controls and Dualshock controll input. Unfortunately that is not enough to save the game from a dismal experience sure to dissapoint.
The graphics in the game are average, but I had expectd more from the developer that is bringing us Hawx very soon. Bland textures and terrible lighting effects destroy the viseral experience of being a commander that I had expected. The game is very jagged too, these graphics could be outpreformed by a good wii game (Galaxy, or SSBB) which made me want to cry out loud like a little baby who just lost Mr. Doopleginkins who happend to be their favorite stuffed rabbit in the world.
The audio makes me want to vomit. It is so bad in fact that I wanted to throw away my surround sound so that it wouldn't be all around me. The effects are cheesy, voice over is like a japanese RPG, and the music is like something out of sleeping beauty rather than a action/RTS game.
The singleplayer is medium length which prolonged my misery with the game until I could review it. I am not even going to talk about the story because I could fill an entire review with how bad it was.
The Multiplayer is the best part of this terrible package providing an intense ongoing theater of war, in which players can choose a side and fight battles fo territory. At the end of the day the computer calculates who won each territory during the day.
In the end I would never again play a game this bad. The voice commands (contrary to everything else in the game) is quite good. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!! I would give this game a 4.3 out of 10. Please leave feedback. BEYOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i bought this game as my first ps3 game and was not nearly as impressed as i could of been, its a decent game thats no doubt, but its not one i would of bought if i had knew, you have a limited number of units, it nots very exciting, it can get you pretty mad pretty fast, but i do like how you can be the Americans, Europeans and Russians. There are a few free upgrades and a few pay for ones on the Playstation Network. The Units are kind of unresponsive at times and sometime you just cant get them to do what you want them to do. Don't get me wrong, this game has it's perks, but if your picky with your games i suggest C&C 3 for the ps3 or Hawx or Warhawk.

Good strategic game

While it is true that this is not a first person shooter, this IS a great game that makes you think strategically - almost like a game of chess but with tanks and helicopters. Each unit type has their own strengths and weaknesses and you need to figure out combinations of units to overcome your opponents and reach objectives. The online experience is much better than the single person version. As you play you earn credits that can be used to upgrade your units to help give you an edge.
I do occasionally have to repeat my commands to get the units to act, but it does not happen too often. Great game!

This game is fun, I think the 2 people that gave this bad reviews are just bitter because they didnt research what they bought. The game is fun to play online and I was not disappointed at all. You can play together with a friend online and your online matches go towards a global campaign. If you like a strategy based war game then you will be happy with this. If you are looking for a shooter then you need to buy Socom:Confrontation(3rd person) or COD:World at War (1st person)

Very Good Real Time Strategy Game

I was looking at this game for some time at my local best buy. I was on the fence with regards to Tom Clancy titles of the past. Some of the other titles just didnt sit well with me and I deemed them a waste of money. I read the reviews, and finally downloaded the demo and played it. Went to the store the following day and picked it up. Needless to say, I love this game. If you are into strategy games, this is for you. THIS IS NOT A FPS game, you will be disappointed and likely ticked off if you bought this for that. Dont say you werent warned. If you are into strategy and being an "armchair general" then this game is for you. I cant wait to try it out online.

Real Good and Unique Strategy Game

Everything is great about this game. You have a full army at the control of your hands. The voice command through the wireless headset makes things so much easier and faster. The barracks where you can upgrade your units is perfect (always great). The only downfall is that on the strategic map, you get choices of where you want to attack or defend and cannot randomly select. The other downfall is the when your winning the option of WMDs comes online and thats a killer downfall.

There is special attention to detail. The voice commands make it very easy to play the game. There is a lot of challenges in this game, which make it very fun. You will love this game, but I suggest you get the demo first, just in case. Online play delivers extra challenges.

Not really sure what the point of this game is. Luckily it doesn't last long so the pain is over quickly. Graphics are average and gamepley is rather easy. Difficulty doesn't change as you advance through the game.

I think this is a great game how you can command your whole army around and tell them who to attack and you can use a nuke that comes from a satelite. The storyline is cool how you go to war with the biggest countries/Continents. I think this is a must buy.

Great Way to Put Gamers INTO the Game

After I played the game at my friend's house, I knew that I must get this game. The voice command system really puts you into the game, onto the battlefield, and in command. I would recommend to anyone who loves RTS, or video games in general.

Save your money and buy another game! I bought this game without reading the reviews, and what a mistake I made (the commerical was cool but it led me to believe it was a first person shooter). The whole point of the game is to tell your units to kill another unit via voice command. You just sit there watching your units fight. Very boring! Also, the units are "dumb." When you need them to attack, they move into the open instead of fighting from the cover. I guess I'll do more research in the future before buying a game.

I buy this game as my first PS3 game, so lame, the sound, the graphics, the story, the complicated. Every game must be easy to star, and getting hard later, have to have easy instructions about how to play. Totally point less, ther is no action or amazing sound, plain and horrible I gladly take the $5 to sell this game on Gamestop. DO NOT BUY IT!!!!

i love to talk to the headset and hear my voice on the tv! that is so cool but when i play the game all im doing is shooting or pointing out where i want my troops to attack. theres alot of stuff going on and it makes you feel like youre experiencing real war. but theres no real action to it. no real suspense.

I'm very disappointed with this game. I wish I could get my money back and get something better. I don't know why Tom Clancey would put a game out like this, cause it is not like them so put out such a boring game. I miss the walk around shooting and killing like Rainbow 6.
