    intense and realistic

Although this is the first ghost recon game for the ps3, ubisoft really nailed it. This is a game that puts you directy into the action and never really lets up until the end (which comes after about 9 short hours). The graphics and sound are both very good with a couple of small flaws here and there but the main focus is in the intensity. There is constantly bullets flying over your head and exposions all around. The controls are pretty tricky and will take a while to get used to but in the end its worth it.You control the friendly A.I. at all times and can give them orders from anywhere on the batlefield. They respond well and shoot well too. The enemy A.I. however is to good. They will automatically pick up you position if you so much as lean into the open to get a look around. The online play is good but completly drops the cover system and if you are playing localy with someone the 3rd person view changes into a horible 1st person view that doesnt work well at all. If you are looking for an intense realistic action game you willl definatly enjoy ghost recon advanced warfighter 2.

    Good Overall

This game is absolutely astonishing when you first buy it, and it still is, but after you beat the single-player, all you want to do is play Multiplayer with your friends, right? Well, the Multiplayer slips and slides, and overall is just way too difficult. Only half the features are allowed on it, but you know, it is still fun being on a team and playing the game. If it weren't for the great single player, this game would surely be in trouble.

    Mediocore Gameplay

I played Call of Duty4 Modern Warfare before I played Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 so I guess I had very high expectations when playing this game. Disappointingly, the game didn't meet my expectations for a couple of reasons. The fighting wasn't as intense and the game seemed a little easy. It didn't take long for me to finish the game given its limited number of levels. This is also a problem with Call of Duty 4. Ghost Recon did, however, have an excellent level where you are firing a minigun from a blackhawk helicopter. I also liked the weapon selection. The ability to control your teams of soldiers is also cool. This capability allows you to manuver and out flank enemy soldiers. At the end of the day, this is a decent game. I was just expecting a lot more after playing Call of Duty 4 which to me is probably the best shooter out on PS3 right now. I would recommend this game to anyone just for the experience.

This game is very cool. Amesome customizable missions, co-op play, team combat, clan support, etc. Have played it a few times with my SOCOM Combined Assault crew in the CO-OP missions and enjoyed it. The AI is extermely realistic and challenging. Great selection of weapons, maps, objectives, terrain, etc..

    One of the Best Shooters

I don't play much first person shooters cuz it makes me extremely dizzy. But after striving to finish Resistance, Fall of Man without having the trashcan next to me, i started liking it. Resistance was a great long game and so is Rainbow Six, but Ghost Recon 2 is my favorite so far. My computer squad are the best. Its so good to order people around. You get three and sometimes five computer teammates to back you up not to mention strikers, tanks, and assualt helicopters. Overall, good gameplay, story, and action. Game is really short. I finished it in 2 days but i still play different modes. Good game for the money which i got it for $40 at Best Buy.

This is a very well done first person shooter. The game looks great and it is easy to direct your squad with the controls. The game does freeze on occation when you change guns and your squad. Overall this is a really fun game that will entertain you for a few days.

    Great Online game!

I purchased this game the day it came out and have enjoyed both the single player and multi player aspects. The online games are awesome, tons of boards with the ability to control the time of day for more variety. The single player portion lets you control a 3 man team to help you fight so you have to use some tactics to out maneuver the enemy, this is not just a one man kills 10000 type of game. My only complaint is that sometimes during online play there is a lag which makes the other players appear to jump from one location to another. This only occurs when the hosts internet connection isn't very good, 1 in 10 times you play.

    Awesome Game

This has to be one the best games available to date for the PS3, with really good graphics and sound, lots of weapons to choose from, cool support vehicles, easy to get used to. With 4 different difficulty modes to choose from and a really good story. GRAW 2 is a must have for the PS3 owners who are looking for a great action/shooting/tactical game and a decent multiplayer game. You will spend a lot of time playing this gameeither beating it (again, single player mode is kinda short, but you have 4 difficulty settings to beat it 4 times if you can!!) or just having fun on the multiplayer section. Strongly Recommend

    Another good Tom Clancy Game

If you love Tom Clancy, then this is a must for you. If you've never played the series before, I suggest starting with a Rainbox Six game. Overall great game, graphics aren't cutting edge, but typical of what you would expect from this series.

    Ghost Recon: A Buy

Multi-player is better than the short (7 hr) single player campaign. But the game although built on familiar storylines is a good diversion given the low price you can get the game for (I got it for $19 on sale). Can't beat that!

    Way too short and boring

I had high hopes for this, having completed the very satisfying Rainbow Six: Vegas and having read many good reviews. At first it was pretty good. You get to control a number of colleagues, and you have more say over where they go and what they do than in Rainbow Six. But then I began to realize that the missions were short, pretty easy and dull. Not to say that I didn't get myself killed often, but there were very few challenges. I bought the game on a Sunday afternoon, had to work Monday-Friday, and yet still finished the entire game by Thursday. I estimate maybe 6 hours of gameplay, and not on easy mode. All the controlling of all the other players, tanks, choppers, etc was neat, but really detracted from the possibility of an intense game. I could let everyone else do the killing and sit back and say "go over there---go over there---shoot that", which got pretty tiring. I also thought each mission was too short. They'd drop me in, I'd do a few kills, send my guys here or there, and then they'd send in the backup. I guess that's the life of a Ghost! This is not to say that there were not parts that were frustratingly difficult. The last scenario took a long time to finish, but then when it ended, it was anticlimatic--just sort of ended, and while they tried to build up a climax, it's nothing like the end of COD4 or RS:Vegas. Other issues: graphics okay. Voice acting not bad, although some of the support characters had very limited lines and pretty dumb: "I cannot see nada from here, sir" repeated fifty times by someone who was a stereotype of a latino soldier, was annoying and a little offensive. For a whopping 6 hours of gameplay, forget it. Not much appeal for replay. Who wants to replay a boring and short scene?

    The original are the best

I have the original Ghost Recons for the PS2 and I love them. The Advanced Warfighter series, I am not so impressed with. Was the first game I bought for the PS3 and the graphics were good, but suck compared to other games. The graphics are focused mainly on the soldiers and the vehicles, the terrain sucks and reminds me of the PS2. Too short, and the lighting as far as sunlight goes......that sucks. Its hard to see what you are looking for. The UAV is pretty cool though and the weapons are good, other than that, I was dissapointed.

This game is great in every way accept there are some problems with some of PS3 Multiplayer functions or the lack of that seem to be on the xbox 360. Other than that great game.

    Online disappointment

I have played GRAW2 for both the 360 and PS3. The online play and some noticeable details make me wish I never bought the game for the PS3. The night vision goggles have a really big bright spot when your in the light or darkness compared to the xbox version. The online play is choppy and lags(and I even have the highest speed for cable internet!). I was really disapointed when I started playing the game and wish I never bought the PS3 version. It is a great game if you're only planning to play campaign mode.

My favorite game ever owned. I used to play this game and this game only until COD4 came out, it has pretty good graphics and especially good graphics for its time. Great 3rd person tactical shooter. I also loved the game because I dominated the Online play ;-). But if your looking for a game with steller graphics and fast, unstratigized gameplay go buy COD4 and COD World at War.

I have been a fan of Ghost Recon since it's initial release and this is the best version EVER! The graphics are phenomenal, the sound is great, easy controls. You can actually take control of infantry units, Abrahm's Tanks and helicopters!! This makes the game play much more fun. This is different than the traditional Ghost Recon though! Best game for the PS3!!!!!

This game is okay. It's not great, it's not horrible. . The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is pretty good, but I am still very disappointed. The online play isn't good at all. It is kind of boring. I don't really think you should get this game. If you want a tps, then wait for "Socom: Confrontation" to come out.

I bought this game because I downloaded the demo and loved it. The controls for this game are fluid that it does not inhibit game play. The Graphics are amazing the explosions are truly right there, just like seeing it in the movies. I will play this game again the next difficulty level and will play it again and again. Definitely a must buy.
