I was probably one of the biggest critics of the direction this game was taking prior to launch... the removal of the AI teammates, changing core features, etc. seemed off putting to me as a huge fan of Wildlands and the rest of the series since 2001 (I know the teammates will be added in later). Granted I'm only about 6 hours into the game so far, but I have been pleasantly surprised by how much I've been enjoying exploring Aurora and seeing the new features. The gun play is smooth, the environments are beautiful, and the skill tree seems to be well thought out. The one thing that sort of ruins the immersion for me is the shared hub area... it's sort of hard to accept the "we're outnumbered and alone" setting when there are 20 ghosts just hanging out in the hub whenever I travel there. I suppose that's the model now, so what are you going to do? :-)

A game that might be too big

The open world fps format is pretty awesome, and after playing and loving the prior release - wildlands - I was definitely up for the new revision. The game has some interesting changes that make it more than just a sequel, and is thought provoking as well given currernt events.

Unfortunately ubisoft was more concerned about releasing the game and not worried about the players feedback from the beta testing, bo ai squad mates , very much like the division, nothing like the rest of the ghost recon games , still good enough to play

not nearly as much content as Wildlands. It is a cool fun game and an interesting story but there's just not much to do. Also, this is solo, does not have the team like you do in Wildlands.

Love the open world mixed in with a tactical strategy that you can control.

Fun game to play, if you like open world with some multiplayer and good graphics as well.

Doesn't hold up to the Ghost Recon brand.

Ghost Recon has always been about a Fire team and special ops tactics. This game falls way short of expectations. It takes too many cues from current UbiSoft titles but fails to deliver a Ghost Recon Experience. It is open world, it looks amazing, but it plays like the developers spent too much time on beauty and less time on functionality. Nothing like the previous Ghost Recon title on this console generation.
