A fun game with good gamepad integration. The controls are a little sloppy but the gameplay is fun. I like that you can choose different play styles.

A Great Game With Some Flaws

A quick synopsis of Splinter Cell: Blacklist for the Wii U. The campaign is great, with decent voice-acting, a decent variety of gameplay in the missions, a lot of weapon options, and the ability to play three different styles. The Wii U game pad is used well, both for off screen game play and for segments with the tri rotor (a remote drone). There are some sound issues on the game pad, but subtitles take care of the missing voice.
Unfortunately, the multiplayer is a different story. It's plagued with long load times, an inability to accept game invites, game freezing, and due to the low install base, a lack of players online, causing a number of game modes to go unplayed. I believe Ubisoft is addressing these issues, but the first month of online since the game launched has been very bumpy.
Overall, I'd recommend the game due to the strength of the campaign, but if you're multiplayer focused go with the Xbox 360 or PS3 version. If you're a Wii U only owner, pick this game up for it...the campaign is well worth the money.

This is my first Splinter Cell game. The story line is compelling. The Graphics are simply amazing and jaw dropping. I love playing spys vs mercs multiplayer! The controls on the WII U pad are smooth. If you are a WII u owner do not hesitate to buy. Show Ubisoft and other 3rd party companies that Nintendo i a great market for them!

The best 3rd party port on the Wii U!

This is without a doubt the best 3rd-party game on the Wii U. Ubisoft has been consistent in their support for the Wii U when many others have cancelled or delayed games, and this game is a perfect example of their willingness to support the console in it's current sales drought.
The graphics are better than the Xbox 360, and the gamepad integration allows for increased immersion in the world. As for the game itself, Blacklist is a great compromise by Ubisoft in terms of the classic, stealth-based Splinter Cell games and the recent Conviction, which relied more on action and set-pieces. Blacklist even offers a Perfectionist difficulty for Splinter Cell diehards like me, which significant increases difficulty and almost forces you to use stealth.
The only problem with the Wii U version is the lack of offline multiplayer (which the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have), as well as a lackluster online community (which is really a Catch-22, as people don't buy Wii U games because of the lack of online players, but that is the same reason there are no online players). Additionally, offline multiplayer is not a deal-breaker for me because I rarely play that anymore, but you may factor that in to your purchase decision.
Everything considered, I think this is a great port by Ubisoft for the Wii U, and if people have a choice on which console to play and do not care about the multiplayer aspects as much, pick this up to show support for Nintendo's system so we can continue to get more great 3rd-party titles.

The game is great, it's the only one I've ever played other than a GCN demo a long time ago. When I saw there were Co-Op missions I was curious if you could play local multiplayer and was disappointed to find out they were only online. Then I was even more disappointed when I found out that the other versions could be played as local multiplayer. Other than that it's a great game
