The game is great, fun, visually impressive, and offers many hours of content. It sports co-op with friends and an interesting player-vs-player zone.
That being said, end-game leaves some to be desired, there are some bugs that can often be game-breaking for multiplayer, and some skills need some balancing.
It's a great game, especially for co-op with friends, but requires a rather demanding machine to run. I would absolutely recommend the game, but would caution awareness and patience with a development team that is actively listening to their player base.

Played the alpha, and the beta. Full release met my expectations and exceeded my expectations for an Ubisoft title. Still has the ubisoft feel but gameplay, graphics, story, and multiplayer are top notch. You do need a stout system to run the game as with most Ubisoft games. Their engine optimization could stand for improvement. 8/10 overall

I've enjoyed The Division so far. I haven't blown through the game like others have. I've been casually playing it doing all the missions and encounters, collecting the echoes and video recordings. I love the game and combat system is a blast. It's even more fun in coop with friends, but also enjoy playing solo. If you like RPG's with solo or coop play definitely worth a pickup.

Really enjoying the Division. After too many hours of playing the same destiny content this has been a nice refresh. It's been fun in both single player and with friends. My only complaint is a lack of SLI/Crossfire support.

Well I usually don't play that much games anymore, but Boy let me tell you this game sucks you in...
the story is good but the best part are the missions and the group missions when you join a team...
very impressive graphics and details on the scenes ...
the weapons and upgrades make it interesting
Go to the dark Zone where you can play against other people or with them ... really fun game

I like the story and premise behind the game. I am not a big online gamer, but one you can play it solo, just a bit more difficult.

Great mechanics, but can get repetitive. The online has issues with hackers though.

3rd Person Post Apocalyptic Looter Shooter

So what do we have here? To start, at it's core, this game is a Looter Shooter. Go out, shoot things, collect loot, go out shoot more things, get better loot. Rinse, Repeat.
To delve a bit further into the game. There is a fairly decent 3rd person cover based shooter here. Weapons are all variable allowing different mods to be equipped to change up their stats and performance.
Talents on weapons which are activated by reaching stat break points in your core 3 stats(Firearms-Dmg, Stamina-Health, and Electronics-Skill effectiveness). These stats are found on all of your gear outside of weapons.
The talent system allows you to select 2 active use talents and equip them with a set list of talent mods to change how they work for further gameplay style customization. In addition to this you can select 4 perks in the end game that can add additional changes and bonuses to suite your playstyle.
All in all The Division has some good ground to stand on. We'll have to wait and see how the Dark Zone, and continued End game turns out for the games future.

I mainly play solo, but have done some time in the Dark Zone with a friend. The Dark Zone content can definitely extend the life of this game. I've finished everything on the SP portion and am left re-running missions or just wandering around. Hopefully tomorrows patch will add some new stuff.

I have been waiting for this game for over 2 years and was kind of disappointed. Its a FPS that you cant crouch or Lie down, what shooter since the 90s hasn't had that feature. While it looks pretty the weapons do not handle like their real counterparts. Also when does it take over 500 rounds to drop a human being with a modern combat rifle? Also they advertised a collectors edition, but didnt have one for the PC so I bought the gold edition and it simply wasnt worth it. They give you several weapons to start with that are not even as good as the weapons you get from your very first mission. Whats the point? They tout the PVP aspect in the Dark Zone but its so full of hackers and people using exploits it not worth the aggravation.

Originally I bought this for my PS4, and picked it up now for my PC. The game still has it's bugs but they're fixing them and rolling out new content. So a fun, simple game.

Very fun game, however it gets a bit repetitive at max level. Fortunately, there was a new patch that added some more content, but only time will tell if it is redeeming.

Fun game. But, they really need to put more things for low level players to do. There isn't much content until you reach around level 30 or so....

This is my 4th copy of this game having purchased it for myself and 2 relatives on console and then, yet again once I built a gaming PC. I enjoyed the game a lot and dumped easily over 200 hours into it before retiring it. These days it's not as fun anymore as things are more or less the same grind over and over again but I'd certainly recommend it to new players. Best Buy of course had it on hand and was willing to price match so I got the gold edition at a great price without any waiting on shipping.
