Much more believable story than the Angelina Jolie movies. I enjoyed the rawness of her character. She wasn't this super adventurous treasure hunter, she had to grow into one.

The remake is real good. I thought it was more up to date and not the typical same storyline in other remakes that I have seen

...that I've been waiting for. Loved it. Alicia Vikander was perfect, the rest of the cast fantastic. Awesome story, awesome action. Really hope to get a sequel or two...or ten!

Tomb Raider is the newest version that does not have Angelina Jolie as the main character in the movie as Laura Croft; although, it was still worth the money to purchase it.

Liked the Angelina version of the 1st Tomb Raider and wanted to see how this effort compared. I was happy with the outcome.

This movie follows the first Tomb Raider video game reboot, of course with many differences thrown in. Not too bad of a movie.

Not quite as good as I was hoping, but I needed it to keep up with my Tomb Raider collection of games and movies.

4K picture is stunning. Alicia is great as Lara. Fun movie to watch as you are rooting for Lara throughout. Storyline a bit unbelievable but hey it’s a movie/escape.

Love the New Lara Croft! She Gets it Done! Love the Story Line. Not just a spoiled Rich Girl. She's Tough, and Her Body Proves it! Great Action! Awesome in 3 D.

Wanted a little more out of this movie, but it's definitely the best in the franchise, and the picture on the 4k is great.

This movie was not very original and was confusing watching it. Storyline was weak and the character's action was ok.

Different. Watching Laura grow up/mature and become more tenacious is refreshing compared to the previous movies.

It's sad that you have to say that it isn't bad for a video game movie, but they have a stigma. The movie follows the recent Tomb Raider video game series and in some cases shot for shot. There was some parts of the movie that I wish they didn't add (a person that showed up later that we believed wasn't even a possibility), but I would love to see this actress play Tomb Raider in a sequel.

When i saw the trailer for this movie I thought it was going to be just like the 2013 game of the same name. There are some similarities but I am glad they didn't go with that plot because if the movie was terrible most TR fans would have complained about another badly done video game movie. This was a very good movie and a good way for the franchise to start fresh. Alicia Vakander plays a great young Lara Croft who is struggling with who she is and her Fathers Legacy. The movie left me wanting more and at the end but I believe that's what the studio wanted to see if there will be a sequel. If you are looking for a fresh take on Tomb Raider after seeing the Angelina Jolie version this will be a good purchase. But wait for it to drop in price.

Loved the movie and effects. Great story and just pure popcorn movie fun. If you like these type of popcorn movies, then please watch of not pass this one by.

Alicia Vikander really fits the role as Tomb Raider well. Unlike the previous Tomb Raider movies with Angelina Jolie, the character of Lara Croft is developed and she doesn't start out as a "Tomb Raider". These kinds of movies are always difficult for producers because they are introductions to a new character - and it takes time to develop the character, much like the Wonder Woman movie (which seemed to start off a little slowed but then accelerated towards the end). Sometimes with character development comes the potential of losing the audience because we always want to see immediate action. I liked the way Alicia acts and how she starts off with her character. She isn't a full-fledged explorer at this time and she can't kick everybody's butt. She actually takes hits, gets beat, and isn't portrayed as the ultimate female - it's believable. Watch this actor, because she is very talented and you will like this Tomb Raider movie. No, she doesn't have her center of gravity at the upper half of her body like the original Tomb Raider computer game OR like Angelina Jolie, but she is completely believable.

It started slow, but got better to the End. Lets see if the Sequel will be better with her new found Weapons.

The new Tomb Raider movie starring Alicia Vlkander. Alicia is a young physical woman that takes Laura Croft to a whole new meaning. The story behind the new Tomb Raider movie is actually pretty good. I know there are a lot of people out there that didn't enjoy it or didn't like it because it takes a whole new different spin on Laura Croft and Tomb Raider series. The story is very well told it keeps fast pace and it shows Laura before the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider series. I personally like this series better because it's more physical and better told. If you're a fan of Angelina Jolie and her series then you're not going to like it, but if you give it a chance sit back and keep an open mind it's actually quite enjoyable.
