I love the tomb raider series and have been playing for many years. So when I recently bought wii and saw TR for wii I was very excited. I got the game while visiting my mom - so I couldn't play right away, instead I read the game insert. The controls looked a little complicated at first, but they actually flow pretty well. The game starts out in a underwater part, which I personally don't love.. But whatever. I happily got to the end of this level - and the game did a cut scene to a little movie and then LOCKED UP... Forcing me to re-do everything from the beginning. I angrily finished the level all over and then held my breath hoping it would proceed to the next - it did.. I got through all that and to the next level - and at the end of this level - I couldn't find my way out.. I looked and I looked and then I cheated. I went online and looked for a walkthrough - only to find that there is a BUG WITH THE GAME - if you find and pick up one of the secrets at the beginning of the Thailand level - the switch you need to get out disappears.. At this time, I didn't realize there were manual saves options - so I was forced to start ALL OVER FROM THE VERY BEGINNING AGAIN! So - I swim through the underwater level, run all over Thailand, skipping the secret (which I was so proud to have found) and sure enough.... the switch appeared... Still not aware of the manual save feature - I work my way thru to the end of Thailand the game flips to another cut scene - and then LOCKS THE STUFF up... At this point - I search all over the web and find a downloadable save game and load that on to my wii so I can pick up where I rightfully should be. Ok - no more bugs or lockups YET - but I haven't finished the game yet, but I seem to be close, which is also kind of a let down, it seems it's pretty short. I'm saving OFTEN now. Couple other things, while seeking some help online, specifically youtube and watching walkthroughs rather than reading them - it seems like the xbox and PC versions of this game have a lot more enemies to fight - where as wii, poor Lara gets a little action starved. Also - the same issue that I had in an older TR game for xbox, the cut scenes are great, but Lara's voice is ALWAYS drowned out by the mood music... Fortunately wii has a subtitles option!

    Not at all disappointing

I've always been a huge fan of the Tomb Raider series and i certainly still am today! I bought this game for my Wii a few weeks after it was released. It was immediately exciting and a challenge also. The graphics were good but not unbelievably great. The only problem i had was that it froze once in the very beginning but it hasn't done so since and i'm almost done with the game. I don't think anybody should be disappointed because it's a great game, but some reviewers think otherwise and i don't agree. Go buy this game because it is great if you love action, adventure, and excitement!

You know what to expect... good Tomb Raider

I started playing Tomb Raider back on the PS1, and was surprised to find that the graphics really haven't advanced all that much. They're not bad, but I guess I just expected more from my new Wii, given all the hype. That said, this game is fun and I haven't experienced any bugs. If you read the game literature it recommends manually saving the game as you go along, so I don't know what that other reviewer was complaining about. Once you learn the basic moves the puzzles are moderately challenging, nothing that's impossible but not too obvious either. The earlier Tomb Raiders could be downright impossible to figure out at times. I expect the levels will gradually get more challenging. Bottom line: if you're familiar with previous Tomb Raider games you won't be blown away by anything new here, but it's just as fun as the rest of the series.

This was the worst tomb raider game I've ever played. I had more fun playing on PSone. The control was hideous ,the camera view didn't cooperate when you needed it the most.Im not even going to finish it and Im 75% done.
