However, this film is one of those rare sequels that is actually better than its' predecessor. I would even go so far as to say it is hands-down the best film of 2022! I could not believe how much I enjoyed the real-life flying sequences that were captured during the making of this film. Real-life flying looks so much better than just doing everything in CGI. Plus, the actual storyline itself is such a satisfying conclusion to plot threads that began in "Top Gun." I loved this movie so much that I pre-ordered the 4K steelbook in mid-June! I didn't actually receive my order until the movie was finally released in December. But it was so worth the wait. Such a great film. I truly hope this is the movie that finally wins Tom Cruise the Best Actor Oscar he richly deserves.
