If you haven't watched it yet, be sure to see "Tora Tora Tora." No, it doesn't have the special effects or production values that the 2001 film "Pearl Harbor," but the story is much, much better. Also, "Tora Tora Tora" more closely follows Walter Lord's book.

This is a good classic World War II movie this movie had two directors in American and a Japanese on a dark community history vs Hollywood this movie was ranked 80% correct. I could be wrong however good movie.

I first bought this movie on Laser Disc many years ago. I think it is one of the best, if not the best, movie dealing with the attack on Pearl Harbor. The photography is beautiful and the special effects are excellent for the time. I took off one stat because there are so many sub-titles. I guess they wanted the Japanese to speak their language for realism.

If you are ever going to see any Pearl Harbor movie - this is the one. All other attempts have failed to portray accurately the events of that infamous day. It also does a great job at portraying BOTH sides of the impending conflict.

...again. I remember going to the theater to watch this when I was a kid. Much more meaningful to me now that I am "grown up". Excellent audio and visual blue-ray effects. Outstanding shots for a movie made a half century ago!

The depiction of pre-Pearl Harbor day is close to factual (rare for Hollywood) and gives what seems to be an objective look at the events leading up to December 7. Some actual footage is included - don't miss it!

I had the DVD version of this and bought the Blu ray version as it was better quality in both video and audio quality. This movie tells the story of the bombing of Pearl Harbor as seen from the American and Japanese side.

Good movie ! Wish it was longer . Yes it's about Pearl Harbor . However I would have like to see us unite and attack Japan in that movie because that bomb that America made ended the war between America and Japan . For anyone that enjoys history . Yes I would recommend this to be apart of your collection .

This movie is worth a viewing at least once. It gives you a very good idea of that tragic day and reminds you to be grateful that we have brave american soldiers that look out for us, civilians, and that they would pay the ultimate sacrifice at a drop of a hat to keep us safe.

I replaced a DVD with this BluRay. This is a very good rendition of events up to and including the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor ... bringing the US into World War II. This is a good movie

A pearl Harbor movie that tries its best to be historically accurate without favoring either side and is way better than that other movie with Ben Affleck

This is by far the best movie about the attack on Pearl Harbor. The Blu Ray quality is outstanding. Don't hesitate to pick up this one.

Had to have it! And remade on Blue Ray. Two versions to watch on the Blue Ray as well. Very intense movie and still has me interested. So happy Best Buy had it, and on sale as well.

The movie was filled with historical facts, which I really like in movies. Reality a d a learning experience built into the entertainment factor. The subtitles get annoying, but they are a necessity to create the atmosphere of what actually happened.

A wonderful disc of one of my favorite movies. The attack on Pearl Harbor shown from both the Japanese and American perspectives. MUCH better than that awful movie Pearl Harbor!!

I bought this to replace my DVD version. There is greater detail in this Blu Ray. Great story leading up to and including the attack on Pear Harbor by the Japanese

Having recently visited Pearl Harbor, I didn't want to wait for this movie to make it back to TV (and all the commercials). Nice to have along with several other WWII classics.

I have seen Tora Tora several times and still amazed at the acting of both Japanese Actors & American Actors. They are great. The movie is never dull, always action.

Action from beginning to end. Another perspective on the attack of Pearl Harbor. The special effects were great in this one. If you love war movies, this is a must see.
