Have to be shut off each use. I recommend it because there were few that had a dial volume control, much faster than hitting a button.

It lets you play up to 999 songs on RANDOM from a loaded up flash drive of music! if you have ever listened to the radio at work you know what I'm talking about. it's like a treat at work.

I would have given it 5 stars if it would be able to record to USB from the radio. Also am not a fan of the disco lights so I keep them turned off.
