Everything I use is based on a Google platform. Love that this unit had Chromecast built-in and for the price of this 4k TV. I couldn't go wrong. Even is controllable from my Google Home.

Our old TV was on it's last legs, so we went to look at new ones to do some research on what we should buy. We previously had a Toshiba television that had lasted 8 years, so we had no problems with the brand. We also have a first-gen Chromecast, so we knew how that "Smart" functionality actually worked. I was really surprised to find a 4K TV priced so well, so we snatched it up immediately.
We've now had it for a few weeks and I really have no complaints. Everything works the way I expect it to and the picture is a major upgrade over our old LCD set. We have the Chromecast built in and an external Roku, so we didn't have a real need for Smart functionality. Big thumbs up!

This is a good basic TV. If you are looking for latest tech or lots of fancy features, this is not for you. The picture is acceptable and the price was great. My only complaint is the requirement to load a Toshiba app to do the setup and change settings. Maybe i am getting old, but I like to push the setup/menu button on the remote then make changes right there.

Husband wanted new 4K tv (our old one was 5 yrs old), I said as long as it's reasonably priced. Spoke with the Best Buy associate and he helped us decide on this one (we were leaning towards Vizio but it didn't have an antenna), so far the sound is far better than our old one and the quality is better. The Apple TV looks much crisper, I'm happy with the purchase.

I'm very happy with this 4K TV for the price. Obviously it's no $1500 TV but if you're looking to get into a 4K for a great price, this is the ticket. I don't use any of the 'smart' features because I don't have internet out in the woods, so I can't speak to their functionality. I can however say that this TV has great picture and functions wonderfully as a 4K TV

My first smart tv purchase. I have apple tv so it didnt matter so much what type of "smart tv" it is. Good price, picture good. The sound is ok, I bought a Bose soundbar and it sounds amazing. I read the previous reviews about chromecst; Agreed it can be annoying to have you use your phone or tablet and "cast" to your tv. It worked 50% of the time for me, didn't have the time or patience to trouble shoot why. There are very nice photos as screensavers when the tv is in standby mode, however when listening to music either on pandora or spotify the tv never goes in standby mode and you dont have pretty screensavers like the apple tv provides. Not a big issue, I just like to have a nice screensaver, especially on this big and beautiful screen. So I'm sticking with my apple tv and not going to use the chrome cast. I would double check what apps are available on chromecast to ensure you can watch what you like. Has the good basics like Hulu, netflix, hbo, pandora, spotify.

I have now had this product for 3 weeks and can honestly say that there may not be a better deal out there for the quality and high performance that this TV has to offer. The color and clarity are so vibrant and rich, it almost makes you feel like your apart of the show! The sleek look and thinness of the TV itself also allows for tight fitting areas, and can be easily setup for wall-mount. I have had dozens of family members tell me how incredible the TV is, and have even managed to convince them to get one for themself. Overall a great product, I would definitely recommend it to another person.

This is a good basic no frills set - you get a great screen size for a value price. The frame and stand are simple and clean and look good, just nothing to wow you. No component video inputs so if you still are using those, this is not for you. This model fixed several of the user complaints about the last model defaulting to Chromecast every time it started up and controlling inputs. It is limited and is essentially a glorified monitor you can cast anything to from a phone or tablet, so its not a smart TV. However, that is all I need it for and it works seamlessly to do so..

I've had this TV for 3 days now. I've given it 5 stars due to the quality verses the price. NO it is not the same as my $2500 Samsung, but it only cost $420. I do love the Chromecast feature and will buy that for my Samsung in the LR. I love the tv sound (I do not have a soundbar). The picture is excellent for my BR use. I have not had any of the issues that I read about before my purchase. I believe most of the negative reviews was in the setup process (not set up correctly). Good TV for price. I would buy again (so far). As always, Bestbuy was very helpful!!!

I got a pretty good deal on this set and have been satisfied with the images so far. It's really clear but there isn't much customization of the picture. Google cast works really well. Sound is good. The remote is annoying just because you can't punch in the digits, you just have to settle with up or down. Otherwise, great TV for the price.

I really like how clear the tv is. I use it with my ps4 and the quality is really great the only thing is trying to figure out the movie sound some parts are really loud and when they're talking it is really quiet and hard to hear the TV might need a soundbar to balance it out but other than that super great TV especially for the price.

I absolutely love this tv. The picture is great, the sound quality is really good, and it has 3 HDMI ports (a must for me). I didn't think I would use the Chromecast, but I find that I do all the time. The ONLY thing that I don't like about it, is that I can't turn the volume up and down on the tv. It has a multi-functional power button that will only power on/off and change input. But, if I can't find the tv remote, I can change the volume with my Roku remote because the input is set to HDMI-CEC, so that's why I still gave it 5 stars.

I got a really good deal on this TV. It's not really a Smart TV as it utilizes Chromecast from your smartphone to "cast" web content onto your TV. It didn't bother me as I have mine wired to my PC tower, but if you want a true Smart TV it may not be for you, but is one badass monitor and TV for the price.

Hate TV Start up

Over all i really like the TV. Nice picture quality, easy set up, about as plug and play as you can get. what i hate is that whether you want to use the cromecast or not that IS the start up screen. Everytime you turn the TV you have to tell it you dont want Cromecast and then go to what you do want.

Decent TV for the price. Cartoons and movies look great. My only complaint is when the picture is dark it is hard to see, everything slightly washes out. Chromecast is awesome, and it is built in on this model. Still not quite as cool as Roku in my opinion, but very cool nonetheless.

About 10 years ago, my wife and I bought a Toshiba 40-inch full-HD television that we have enjoyed a whole bunch ever since. But with the growth of 4K video, we thought it was time to upgrade both the quality and the size of our television.
We surprised our kids with this new TV on Christmas morning and we are completely thrilled with the quality of the picture and the sound. The build-in Chromecast has also been a winner and it pairs beautifully with our next Xbox One S, too.

This is not a true smart TV as all apps must go through googlecast which is very limiting. For instance if you watch Netflix, the TV remote only has pause/play and volume control. That is it. Also you will need to buy a third party device to watch 4k from non-cable sources such as ROKU 4. Could not find any way to do it through googlecast.
On the plus side it is cheap and you can get a 5 year protection plan for only $90.
Picture and sound quality seems fine but can't give an accurate review as I have not viewed any 4k content. Hope somebody else will. Also there is hardly any documentation in the box or online.
