A very good hard drive , with lots of storage , at a very reasonable price .

Easy plug and play. Works with Macintosh after using Disk Utility to format and partition. Set up 2 TB partition as Time Machine backup and 1 TB as second partition for miscellaneous storage. I haven't figured out why the Toshiba drive had problems which couldn't be resolved with Disk Utility requiring a reformat (and loss of backup files). It is now working fine for about a month. If it continues to work I'll be very satisfied.

My computer had almost lost all my files...almost because when I went in to BB (cause my desktop wasn't working right...) All that was there was put on the hard Drive...pricey, yes but worth it. Now I just save everything on it instead of my computers hard drive.

So far so good. Working great for storage. I got it to use as An internal drive. Beware the case or enclosure is not made to be taking apart or serviced. If you want to open the enclosure then you have to destroy it. Not a big deal if you want to use get the drive and use it as an internal.

I like this HD. It's quiet. Fairly fast and very easy to install.

I have over 2TB of photography data. I needed a means of backing it up without buying another Drobo... too expensive. Worked like it is supposed to. I plugged it in, popped up on my computer, copied 2.2TB of data to it. Put it on my bookshelf. About once a week I pull it out and use Rich Copy to copy the new files to it. End of story... does exactly what it is supposed to. I may get a few more, much cheaper than servers or JBOD devices. Quiet and small, you could line up a lot of them if you needed to.

The only thing that bothers me is that I have tried to change the drive name from Toshiba - Canvio 3TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive to simply "TV" and it will not let me do it no matter what line I change in the properties. Aside from that, it is fast, reliable and immense at 3 TB. I may never need another drive!

As an amateur graphic designer & photographer, I NEED SPACE! Backing up my files is a MUST! I'm not well-versed in the tech lingo, but I DO know it's important to have a backup TO your back up, just in case! Such was the case for me! Bought this as a back up TO my back up. Had I not had it, I would have lost some VALUABLE work! Being that i had just suffered 2 prior drive crashes LAST year, (different models and sized, older drives) I was hesitant to drop another $100+ on another drive! But when you think about it, it's not so bad compared to the loss one can suffer from a drive failure. Having some reward points (and $$$) saved up DEF helped as well! So far, no problems. Data transfer via USB 3.0 is great!

Looking for a good Hard Drive this fit the Bill needed something for For my music and DVD collections and this worked out the best best for the price best for capacity I recommend this product highly.

This is a good computer for my needs. Runs fast and is a good price.

Installation was quick and easy. The included backup program was awful. It never worked properly and on one of the 3 machines used the program actually hung the computer until I removed the program. I deleted it from all 3 drives and all seemed fine. Satisfied with the drives (all 3 of them) but needed to use another backup program (Handy Backup).

Im a big fan of Toshiba products. I bought my Regza tv several years ago and its still comparable to newer ones in terms of quality. I bought this external after looking at several hard drives costing more money. Only one was formatted for Mac and it was being sold at a $100 premium. If you have to format it for Mac, there's no instruction to do so. You have to do an online tutorial. The one I did said to configure as "non journaled" but if you want to use Time Machine it needs to be journaled. I copied half a terabyte to it from my work computer before finding that out. So now I can't use it for backup. Bottom line: best xhd for the money but be sure it's for a PC or you know exactly what you're doing when formatting for Mac.

Great drive for the price, I have 2 of them and would buy another one. Would like to an off & on switch added to the drive.

I bought this for my xbox 1 and it is awesome, one of the best purchases i made for the xbox 1. 14 games installed with updates and its only sitting at 16% used space. It was very easy to set up.

Big and fast. easy to use and install. I think it is faster than my hard drive.

i was happy to find a product with a lot of space and in an affordable price range. I use it every day and it starts right up and I had absolutely no hassle setting it up.
