I'm mostly happy with the drive, and haven't really had any problems with the drive itself. The only issue I've had is with the cable. On the front USB 2.0 ports on my PC, if I pushed the cable all the way in, the drive wouldn't be recognized by the OS, nor would it spin up. I would have to pull it out about 1-2mm from full insertion for it to work. I've never had this issue with any other device. Oddly enough, the cable worked just fine plugged into any of the rear ports. That's the only issue, so can't complain too much!

I purchased the #Tb for my Stepson who enjoys O/L & Off/L gaming with friends. His system consists of Windows 8.1 AMD A10, 6gb ram, and Hatahchi 42" LED monitor..I have always used Toshiba products when & Where possible, and convinced "A" to do the same, & he has no regret of doing so...T...

I have had no problems so far after about a month having it. I like the amount of space for the price - it was on sale at the time.

only been a month. files transfer fast, cheap price vs other hard drive, turns off if you do not use it after awhile but come back on when you click on a files. you get 2.72TB of the 3TB that goes for most if not all hard drive.

Caught this on sale and bought it for backing up all my media content. USB3 transfer rate ran an average of about 58mb per second since I just recently upgraded to a USB3 dedicated computer. I used my own software to do the backups. With USB3 Seagate & Western Digital drives I've used in the past, I've always had issues with the port connection where the cable connects to the external drive. Regular swapping out of drives usually has led to this connection to become loose and eventually I've had a hard time having the drive recognized. With this Toshiba drive, I've kept the cable attacked to the drive always and I just unplug it directly from the computer. No problems whatsoever. Yes, if I ever fill this drive up, this is the brand & drive I would purchase again.

the unit was great for the price for $95 for 3tb.You can't really beat that

I do machine embroidery and need to make sure my patterns are backed up. I also travel a great deal and take plenty of pictures which I also store on this HD. It would make me sick to lose either of these things.

This is a great hard drive, but word of advice I wish I seeked before I bought a 3TB hard drive: computers don't detect them well, best to have it unplugged from your computer until your computer is done loading everything and than plug it in. otherwise your computer will either not detect it at all or detect it as an unformatted hard drive. through some research I found you need to partition 3TB hard drives for it to work correctly. so when i shut down my computer I make sure this drive gets unplugged from my computer.

I intend on purchasing the item later for its specs and capacity of storage.

Set up was easy but a bit confusing choosing between the back up software included and normal Windows Back up.

I like the drive works well except it right now stops the PC from starting when it is plugged in on startup other than that no problems with it.

Works fine and was cheap enough. Better than the last Best Buy .com sale that was on backorder for 3 months

No complaints as of yet. Still holding up just fine

My husband ask me to buy this item to save and backup all our pictures and docs. It really works well!

I bought this drive to replace another drive I had that failed.

A great outboard drive for the money. I am using it primarily as a photo back up drive. It a little slow when connected to my laptop which only has USB 2 ports but when connected with the decktop through USB 3 then it is quite fast. Has been very reliable.

Works very good i´ts quite heavy but for this kind of hardrive it´s ok.

Needed a backup drive to replace my 2tb external and this one hit the spot. The USB 3 transfer speed is good. Backed up my nearly 2tb of media files in a fraction of the time it took over USB 2. Its been running for a few weeks without a problem.

Had a smaller one so I knew I liked the Toshiba. Needed one for mainly my photographs as I had accummulated 300 gb on my laptop and needed to get them on a storage device to free up room.

I brought this after some online research, the product is great and easy to use.
