The hard drive died today

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After under two years the hard drive is not longer working and will not connect to my computer. I'm hoping I can recover the files on it because t has all of my work from the last 2 years.
