    Good TV, slightly misleading description

This is, overall, an excellent buy and good TV for the size and money. The overall features are sufficient and the picture, with good input sources, is excellent. The available picture/color adjustments are not extensive, but sufficient for most users. Even adjusted, voices can be hard to distinguish on some material but overall the audio is still better than I expected for built-in speakers. There were only two real disappointments for me: the lack of full 1080p support on the PCI input (it only supports 720p), and the description didn't mention this was a Class "B" refurb. The first issue is due to my own lack of research, so no hit - just something to be aware of. The second issue isn't enough to make me return the unit but again, is something to be aware of if you are expecting to get completely new-looking unit for this price. The only other confusing thing I noticed is that this TV mapped digital channels from my cable provider to different sub-channels than my other TV's and Windows Media Center digital tuner. I can't explain this, but it caused considerable confusion on my part when reprogramming my URC remotes for this TV.

Bought this television new. Unfortunately it has what is obviously a factory fault (explains why they are now selling factory refurbs) which i cannot get fixed, because i took it out of the country and toshiba no longer recognizes it as a toshiba because of this.... there seems to be a break in the the cable connecting the lcd to the main board and this results in a negative picture (for all who remember film cameras) when the tv runs for a while (either increase heat or vibration i guess). The worse part about it is that it seems impossible to source parts for this tv... i wish i had gone with the more expensive LG with the superior picture quality....
