i was just trying to pick up a cheap replacement for my old portable, which finally gave up. the price was right and it had what features i thought were important, large screen, 2 headphone jax, a/v in AND out. what i opened today has huge speakers with the best sound ive ever heard on a portable, is shiner and slimmer, and it not only rotates the screen but folds into a tablet!!! I also didn't care if it had a sd reader, but bonus it does I read reviews on other sites and know that some people have had luck with the refurbishes and maybe i just got lucky, but if this item wasnt discontinued i'd highly recommend it new. otherwise it is worth the risk, thanks to free shipping, and if yours isnt as great as mine just bring it to the store and get your refund. my final evaluation....for a super high quality portable in relation to price, buy one before they are gone.

it is awesome with a duel head phone jack it has a handheld player i wouoldnt like anything better

Never had much luck with refurbs and it continues. The unit would not read discs. I returned it to a BB store and exchanged for another brand.Too bad ,it looked like a nice player.
