    I purchased this computer after reading great reviews. The first day all of the apps were frozen and my email kept crashing. I immediately returned it to Geek Squad and they said it was so bad they couldn't even fix it. I was told it must have been a "defective" computer. I immediately bought a Mac Book Pro, which is what I should have done in the first place.

      Thank you for the review, Joyce, and sorry to hear about the freezing apps and crashing email issues on your Satellite P55W-C5200X.

      The "defective" diagnosis may have been correct, but I wonder what troubleshooting steps were taken to reach that conclusion. In any case, if the unit was defective then we would certainly encourage you to return if for replacement. Sorry to hear that you decided to purchase a different brand and we lost your business.

      I just want to point out that Toshiba support at 800-457-7777 can assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis, and resolves the issues for most calls over the phone.

    My old laptop died, it was time to get a new one. Went from Vista operating system to Windows 10....still learning what I can do with this, have lots more to learn. This Toshiba is very easy to use, looks sleek and I really like the lighted keyboard.
