Great backup phone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I checked with Tracfone, my carrier for 10 years, to make sure that they would load this phone. I know that the box says Total Wireless and They have some great monthly plans but I have a lot of built up minutes on my tracfone account that I wanted to transfer over to this new phone. The sim card that is installed in this phone allows you to hook up to GPS CARRIER OR CDMA ( att or verizon ) Verizon has the best signal in my area so I chose the cdma setting. You have got to remember that this phone does not have wifi so when you hook up to the internet you will be using the data allowance from your account. I transfered the balance of my minutes from my tracfone account to this new phone. The battery life is great but the voice quality lacking. I think thats partly caused by my old age. I also picked up a few tracfone minutes card from Best Buy 60 minutes and 90 days service for $ 19.95.. By the way I purchased three more of these phones for this reduced price. You can hardly buy a spare battery for the price of this phone. Have a great day.

Tracfone classifies this cell phone as Smart Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waste your time and money, buy a cell phone from a company that accurately classifies your cell flip phone as a cell phone, unless you barely use it and you get a 1 year card and truly only use it occasionally. I used to have a tracfone flip phone that doubled my minutes, bought this one to replace it, wow, what a disappointment, this one doesn't double your minutes, and tracfone classifies this wireless mobile flip phone as a smart phone. If I had realized that this phone would be classifed as a Smart Phone, I would've just bought a REAL smart phone w/another service.
