Brews coffee quickly but has a design flaw

I bought this unit almost 2.5 years ago and it is still working. It brews coffee quickly as advertised, but I have not been able to make a decent cup of coffee using reusable K-cup filters. My favorite filter from my previous Keurig brewer does not fit in this unit (the lid will not close). Perhaps I'm not using the right grind. The thing that bothers me about this unit is what I would consider a serious design flaw that doesn't seem to bother anyone else as I haven't seen it mentioned in other reviews. There is a gap between the lid of the water reservoir and the unit which allows dust and particles in the air to settle into the water. I have to keep the unit covered when not in use to keep the water clean.

I was very excited to see that this one cup coffee maker has 5 different sizes to choose from. Once I opened the box and set up the machine, I immediately prepared machine to make a cup of coffee. I filled the HUGE water tank with water. Great that it holds enough to brew several cups before having to refill. I put Kcup in and powered machine on and pressed 10 ounce size as I like a pretty large cup of java. I was pleased that it started brewing much quicker than the Keurig machine at my office. The coffee was much hotter and more flavorful too. The speed of brewing was a huge plus. It warmed up and started brewing in a fraction of the time the Keurig takes. The coffee was nice and hot. I was pleased that any type of kcup works whether store brand or national brand. I STRONGLY recommend TOUCH 214B Coffee maker I purchased over the slow, watered down keurig coffee maker..

I've been through a couple Keurigs which stopped working after very few uses. This machine makes good coffee, nice and hot, and has different brew strengths, is very easy to use and brews coffee in about one minute. I really like the large water reservoir, which is clear so you can easily see when it needs refilling.

I own a Keurig and it doesn't brew as hot or strong as I would like. I heard about the Touch T214B and thought I'd give it a try. Works as advertised. The coffee was very hot resulting in a stronger and bolder coffee taste. The brewing was fast so I didn't have to wait long for my coffee. It has a huge water tank so I don't have to refill the water as often. Since I own a Keurig, the best part is I can still use the K-Cup's and generic K-Cup's I have! I highly recommend this unit.

This Touch brewer brews a hot cup of coffee just like the coffee shop I go to with flavors I did not get from my Keurig brewer. I'm sure the hotter water brings more flavor out of the coffee beans. I also like that it is easy to use by simply selecting one of the 5 cup sizes and you're done. I also noticed the K-cups are interchangeable with the Keurig K-cups. I'd recommended upgrading to the Touch brewer for better tasting coffee.

Love it, love it, love it!! It’s so easy to use. With 3 different brewing levels, this Touch makes a 10 ounce cup way stronger than my Keurig 2.0 does, even on the “Strong” setting! The Touch brews at a higher temperature which produces a more robust cup of coffee. It heats water only as needed and shuts off automatically. I like the ability to choose various pod sizes or filter my own grounds. I highly recommend the Touch coffee brewer over any others. Most FABULOUS!!

My old Breville coffeemaker died after a few years--I loved the Breville but that model was no longer available. I researched the net for a replacement and found this coffeemaker to have multiple five star reviews at every web site I visited. I had never heard of the brand but on the five star ratings it was getting, I decided to take a chance and buy one. I was not disappointed! It is by far the best coffeemaker I have owned...and I have had a number of them (from cheap ones to expensive $300-$400 range models) as my wife and I love coffee. It brews fast and hot. It has instant heat and does not stay on to maintain heat, saving electricity. Available brew strength and size of cup levels make it even more attractive. It looks very modern and works well with our stainless steel appliances and modern kitchen. I have to think this is the best small appliance purchase I have ever made. Buy it…you will NOT regret it!!

I purchased my Touch Brewing System just over a week ago. We have a houseful of coffee lovers that drink coffee every day. This machine did not disappoint! The coffee is delicious, hot, and ready right away! We had another instant single serve coffee brewer prior to this and the Touch makes a much better cup of coffee! We love the ability to choose the size of the cup we want. Everyone can get coffee the strength that they like it. Definitely not one-size-fits-all, instead you can choose the size and strength that you want every single time. It's relatively quiet and it looks great in my kitchen. I can't say enough about this machine! We love it!!!!

I owned several Keurigs. I had to return their latest version. The k350. I had to babysit the machine for 3 minutes while it heated up the coffee, then click brew. If I didn't return immediately as the brew was complete, it started heating the next cup. I really was hesitant when I read how fast this coffee maker was, but I took the chance. Wow !! It heats it up in 30 seconds, then automatically brews the coffee. Hotter cup of coffee then the keurigs. If I dont brew another cup within 30 minutes, the machine shuts off. Took me about 3 minutes to set up the machine after I received it. I just had to add 90 ounces of water, add my kcup, and decide how many ounces I want. I prefer 8 ounces. I tried 6 ounces, was too strong. I am sure all the new coffeemakers learned from all the shortcomings of the Keurigs. Too bad Keurig didn't listen to all the complaints of their latest k2 machines. That brand has really deteriorated. When I called Keurig customer service to ask why cant the machine automatically start brewing after the water is heated up, like in their older versions, they said that they didn't see a problem in having to come back after 3 minutes to press start, and no problem that the machine starts brewing another cup if you dont shut if off immediately after the cup is brewed

I have been using keurig coffee Brewer for long time, but decided to try something different. I recently got into chemax brewing, which demands correct water volume, certain water temperature, and slower water pouring speed. Touch coffee maker has addressed all three elements mentioned above. The machine is ready to brew within 20 seconds but the brewing time is Somewhat slow, which allows it to consistently brew coffee ground. The brewing temperature is about 2-3 degrees hotter than keurig and that also helps with coffee ground to extract its true taste. What I really like about this machine is that you can use any K-cup pods. The freedom to choose different size pods helps you with controlling the strength or boldness of your coffee. One downside is that we have a small kitchen counter, but the machine does take up significant space.

We wanted a single cup maker that would use anyone's k cups. This does and only heats water when you push the button. My wife uses got water for her tea and I drink coffee. I recommend this to people that want an efficient useful product.

Impressed with ease of use. Quick heat up. Love it for being so much hotter than other two machines. Mulch more compact design. Only wonder if I should have gotten machine with "boldness" control We all like our coffe strong so options for that didn't seem worth it to pay 50 more

Works as well as my beloved, dearly departed Keurig that lost its brain. Quieter and faster. Holds more water but not quite as much as advertised. The 5 different size options and brew strength options work fine. If anything, I just wonder how long before it breaks, because you have to lift and strongly shut the entire mechanism each time. Time will tell. It isn't cheap, but if you get a good sale price, I'd say it's worth it. I'm using "fill your own cup" combined with the lidded paper filters about 50% of the time. Saves money and the coffee tastes great. It even inspired me to buy a new coffee bean grinder at Best Buy (of course), so I have even fresher grounds.

    Amazing So Far

I did a LOT of research before buying a pod-type coffee maker. I decided on the "Touch 1" due to better reviews, the ability to use ALL k-cup brands and sizes and the extremely large water tank. So far, I could not be happier! We use it about 5 times per day on average, every day and it has performed perfectly for a few months now. Extremely hot drinks, very fast, holds a lot of water and works with all coffee pods. *NOTE* - Due to a ton of bad reviews regarding ALL pod-type coffee makers getting plugged over time, I opted to buy distilled water and use only that in the tank. I highly recommend you do the same to prevent buildup and clogging in the lines and nozzle.

This brewer is superior to the actual Keurig brand brewers in my opinion. I've owned 6 Keurig brand brewers over the years (3 of the B-60 brewers and 3 of the K500 Keurig 2.0 brewers) -- I greatly prefer this brewer. No internal water reservoir which is kept hot whenever "on" -- thus not only saves energy, it means that if it isn't used for several days there's no old & stale water to purge. It QUICKLY heats water without the need of an internal heated water reservoir. Compared to a Keurig brewer that's been on & using energy to keep some water HOT for a while, this brewer only needs perhaps 30 seconds longer to brew a cup. Compared to a Keurig brewer that was off & cold, this brewer needs about 1-1/2 minutes LESS time to brew a cup. It does not have pretty screens, it does not provide some of the fancy options (eg: brewing at 188 degrees versus brewing at 190 degrees). It DOES provide easy selection of cup size. There is no need to program it, there is no need to keep it using energy whenever it is on. It simply produces a really good cup of coffee very quickly, brewed one cup at a time. Unlike the Keurig 2.0 line of brewers (the only ones sold now) this brewer will happily brew using any K-cups.
