System of a Down is one of my favorite bands ever. Needed this album after I have their other ones. Music is the beat to my soul and this album on vinyl does that!

I've been locked away in the prison system, surrounded by psychos, toxicity and needles. Very glad to be out so I can pursue my dreams of becoming a jet pilot and do aerials over the forest. But for now I'm trying to bounce back and follow the science and try to shimmy my way into doing this review, but after this I gotta bounce to go eat my chop suey

Amazing album by an amazing band. Back in 2001 soad was releasing their infamous 2nd album that would become their most successful album at the time. The world didn’t seem to be ready for such unapologetic, outspoken and pro-Armenian lyrical messages due to the 9/11 attacks that had recently taken place… but whoever made that assumption was wrong because soad had a multiplatinum career changing record with Toxicity. Their videos for Toxicity, chop suey and Aerials were all on heavy rotation on MTV, they were being played all over radio and they built a massive and loyal fan base with this masterpiece. Afterwards they would release Steal This Album which is a fan favorite and the double album (released 6 months apart even though it was recorded during the same studio sessions) Memorize and Hypnotize that would become a double album when inserted properly… it kinda made me wonder why they didn’t just release the double album, it might have something to do with the fact that both albums fit on one cd due to the short and fast tracks that soad record. Either way I am a huge fan of all of their work but this one holds a special place in my heart, Psycho was the song that won me over and the reason I became such a hardcore soad fan. I recommend this album!

I bought the CD of this album when it came out. I already knew it was going to be good. There is a bonus song that is after the last song that was not on the original CD and it was really cool to ads to the experience.

I've never been a huge SOAD fan, but have always really liked this album. It's a lot more melodic than some of their other stuff. It was good therapy in a newly post 9/11 world and has aged incredibly well. Glad to finally have it on vinyl.
