Watched this last October when it was on TV, never thought I'd be able to watch anything else ever again with all the times my son wanted to rewatch it. A semi-sequel to TS3, it follows the same characters we know and love while they try to "survive" an overnight stay at a shady motel. Without giving anything away, the big bad feels a little too similar to that of TS2. The focus on Jessie and a nice message about overcoming fear was a nice change of pace. Nice extras, including a few shorts (really short) to give the kiddos a little something more, should they tire from the dozens of viewings of the 23-minute main feature.

The Toy Story of Terror short film has a runtime of approximately 21+ minutes. It's a quality production with an interesting Halloween-time story, focusing on Jessie and the gang's unplanned stay at a roadside motel. The original "commercials" that aired with Toy Story of Terror are featured at the end of the film, spoofs of Combat Carl as a GI Joe style infomercial, a short on the Old Timer clock, and finally the "Transitron" transformer-style robot in a Japanese-style commercial. Each commercial has a runtime of about 60 seconds. Overall, it's a fun collection for true Toy Story fans.

If you like the Toy Story movies you will like this. It isn't a full length movie, but for the price and the included 'extras', it is worth the price. The main 'movie', Toy Story of Terror is a good blend of humor, action and a good storyline. While it isn't full length, it does come with three funny 'commercials' for some of the products/toys in the movie that are entertaining and nice 'fillers'. What adds to the value of the Blu-ray/DVD is the inclusion of three Toy Story Toons; "Hawaiian Vacation", “Partysaurus Rex” & "Small Fry". The main movie is only 22 minutes long, but with the extras, your entertainment value gets stretched to about 45 minutes.

This was a short film. I didn’t read all of the information before purchasing it. I was expecting a longer film. The story line was good. I probably won’t watch again.

Pixar spared no expense when it came to this short feature. Oftentimes when you see a spiritual made for tv sequel like this it is haphazardly done and doesn't capture the look and feel of the film predecessors, but this Toy Story short manages to not have those common pitfalls. Its to bad this couldn't have been an hour long tale, but it kind of makes sense when you think to work and detail that went into something like this with a short turnaround to actually finish it between most Toy Story films and the time that had passed from the third one's release. great extras and a great nugget in the toy Story franchise.

If you enjoy Toy Story and you like horror movies, this is for you. The Toy Story shorts have all been enjoyable but this one could easily have been a feature. It's a new adventure with the toys we've all come to know and love in their new, post-Andy era. It gives adults a little something extra by winking at horror movie tropes, both modern and black & white, but gives the kids what they've come to love about Toy Story. While it might be a little pricey for a short, the bonus features and shorts make it well worth it. Pixar does it again.

My son loves this toy story short but it was priced like a movie is definitely much shorter. I probably wouldn’t have bought it if I knew it was so short.

I bought this because my daughter is currently infatuated with Toy Story right now. For s short film it's actually done quite well. The only reason this gets 4 stars though is the very small amount of content in it. There are 4 short films in all but aside from the main feature the other short films are only about 5 minutes or so each. Total it up and you've only got like 45 minutes of footage. If this purchase were 1/3 the price I guess it would seem like a good deal but it's really about half the price of a normal blu ray.

The characters of Toy Story return in the form of this blu ray. Originally broadcast on ABC, the blu ray transfer is very high quality and entertaining although it could have used some more Halloween themes. Price may be a tad high for something that lasts only 20-ish minutes, but also included are a few Toy Story shorts that help pad out the overall running time. Based on its current price, my recommendation is for fans of the previous films.

It is great to see the Toy Story gang back together again after the bittersweet finale of Toy Story 3. Despite that TSOT was made for TV it is still maintains the high quality one comes to expect from anything Pixar. As always voicve acting is top notch. Visuals are great. Story itself harkens back to the old monster movies from the 1950s (may be somewhat intense for the youngest of viewers). Disc comes with all the Toy Story shorts to date. Highly recommended!

The special itself is quite short ~22 minutes but the extras are fun and the kids like having a digital copy for their devices. Combat Carl, a new GI-Joe inspired toy, steals the show. The vintage cartoons (parodies of 80's cartoons) are a great addition as well as 3 Toy Story tiny toon specials. Priced correctly this is a gem that will make its way onto the inevitable Loaded Toy Box edition in the future.

This movie short will not disappoint if you are a fan of the toy story movies then you would not want to leave this movie out of your collection. My kids love it me and the wife watch it with them and they love every minute of it wife's favorite short of this movie is partysauraus rex . If you have kids I would definitely recommend this to you or if your a kid at heart then this movie will make you laugh.

Bought this for my three-year-old son who recently became obsessed with the original movie. Was a little disappointed that it was only about 22 mins long, but that's more my fault for not reading the back of the case. Offered just enough to scare, but not too scary overall. Extras include 3 Toy Story toons, which are cute and funny as well.

Well done short film, that can be watched by parents and children together, especially around Halloween. There is an affectionate nod to B movie production values in the vampire movie viewed by the toys, and a hint of Godzilla in the villain's pet and accomplice. Positive values of loyalty and courage are shown by the toys. Includes several shorter cartoons featuring Toy Story characters.

My son loves it, but I actually enjoyed it more! It’s a fun little half hour, bit sized film that has a great story and fast paced. Fun, but not too creepy jump out at you moments. Just right for kids and adults. Great purchase...now we just need Toy Story 5.

Maybe I'm partial, but I guess it's just because all the other Toy Story movies are amazing.

The Toy Story Toons shorts as well as the longer Toy Story of Terror are all very well done. They are great for kids (although Toy Story of Terror may be a little scary for younger ones on the 1st viewing) and are amusing for the adults too. The only downfall to the package is that it doesn't come with a DVD copy. That would have been nice to have for car trips. Instead it comes with the digital copy.

I knew that it would be short, but the fact that there were 3 shorts and vintage toy commercials swayed the purchase. But remember, it's not close to the length of a feature film - even combined. It was good for the whole fam - parents and kids alike. If it's a good deal, grab it especially if you are a Toy Story fan. A definite for Toy Story enthusiasts and one that you can revisit every Halloween.

Toy Story of Terror is a short film picking up from the events at the end of Toy Story 3. It finds the same lovable toys on yet another adventure--stalked by a lizard working for an evil hotel manager. It seems like a silly idea, but it plays extremely well on screen, as we've come to expect with almost everything to come from Pixar.

We just LOVED this little collection of TOY STORY shorts! And the behind the scenes footage is awesome! I just cant get enough of Disney and Pixar! I thought by the title that this was going to be a Halloween special, but its not that at all! But it IS a lot of fun and a great story with all the original voices! WOW!!!!! Totally Awesome!
