I have a few gripes with the app not having the same functionality as the web interface, but all in all this things now gives me faster wireless download speeds than my wired gigabit connection. Cant wait to see how Wifi7 evolves over time. Previous Router was a Linksys Hydrapro something or other. And ill never buy the consumer linksys models again, complete lack of software control. TP link is where its at

Should need to make an account to use it, but overall a great piece of hardware.

Replaced an Asus Wifi6 router I had for a few years. I have a new Surface Pro 7 with Wifi 7, and a home network with 10GB devices such as my Synology and my media center computer on my 10GB switch. It was time to make my wireless a bit better. This sitting behind my T-mobile home internet was a nightmare. At first, it set up fine. I was able to get the surface connected, showed a link speed of like 4800 or so. I was able to get to the internet fine, and local things fine. Then suddenly I was off the wireless and back on the T-mobile hotspot that is there just for fallback while I work on things with my internal wireless. So I tried to reconnect to my new TP-Link. Couldn't connect. No specific error, just that it couldn't connect. Then for a few reboots it wasn't even showing up on any of my devices as available at ALL, as if the bands were all hidden SSID's. Nothing showed on my Surface, my iPhone, or my iPad. I did a factory reset, same results. Another factory reset, same results. I tried getting it set up and then powering off the home internet to make sure that they weren't stepping on each other. Still issues just getting to my internal network again. Plugged my old one back in, and instantly everything was all happy together. Returned this, put in a new Eero 7 Max and everything was set up in a fraction of the time, and worked instantly. No issues at all.

Love this router, very sleek and modern looking. I like how I can customize the display on it! Internet is way faster than with my old router. Only thing is you need a modem to use it!

Wow! FAST!! Much easier to setup and control then Netgear. 6G is great for us gamers. Can't wait to see upcoming 7 speed. Configurability is nice. Great for households with many devices running at once. Recommend it highly. If there is one spot that is a little disappointing, it's the range. We have a long rectangle single story house. It's at one end of the house, and if you stand on the other end, it can be a little flaky. May need extender after say 2500 sq ft.

My old router was having some problems and was old (6 years or so), so I decided it's time to upgrade. I went with the TP-Link BE19000 since I figured future proofing a bit with WiFi 7 probably isn't a bad thing. Anyway, setup was easy, I got things up and running quickly and initially it seemed great. I started noticing, though, if I streamed video from my NAS server over WiFi, I would get terrible artifacting on the video. I spent hours trying to figure out the issue, tweaking settings on the router and nothing would improve it. I think the culprit is their media traffic shaping for voip/video/etc. When I turned the feature off, instead of the video artifacting, it would just cut out completely. Anyway, I put my old router back and the artifacting stopped. I also turned on my Xfinity wifi on a modem sitting in the corner of my office, went 3 rooms away and even with having horrible conditions, no video artifacting and smooth playback. Anyway, I'm off to Best Buy to return this thing since when you spend this much money, you want something that works properly. I ended up just buying a cheaper 6E router for less then 1/2 the price from a different brand and it's working flawlessly. The bottom line is until TP Link fixes their firmware, avoid this product.

First, the content of this review may not apply to some of you, however if you are blind and use a screen reader, or rely on keyboard-only access, please read this. The router seems to be okay. Speeds seem fast, coverage seems reasonable, and in the past couple of days since I purchased this router, stability is good, but will update as needed. Unfortunately, that is where the positivity stops. I've purchased past TPLink routers before, and I'm sorry to say that the issues I had with those routers have carried over to this one. By issues, I mean that the user interface is not accessible when using a screen reader. I wasn't able to set the timezone when setting up the device, I couldn't adjust most settings, I couldn't tab to all elements on the page (including settings), I couldn't select the category I want using a keyboard from the list, etc. In short, this user interface is inaccessible and receives a fail. It fails WCAG compliance, it fails any measure of usability or accessibility, and if you are blind, I'd look for a different router until or unless TPLink decides it's worth their time to bother with caring about accessibility. The above was in respect of the web interface. I did try the mobile app on Android, and for the most part, this UI was better, though there were occasional unlabeled buttons, I couldn't turn off the display, the security shield pro process wasn't accessible, so even that experience, though better, wasn't perfect. In addition, not all settings can be controlled via the app. I was able to gain some level of control over my network, and did get the router set up, but I could tweak more in the web app if it was more accessible. I will likely return this router as I don't see TPLink caring about accessibility, given that they haven't up to this point. Stick to Asus, Netgear, or pretty much any other router brand.

Everything on this is top notch, but the range. I have a 3 bed one story home. The router is as dead center of the home as possible and the farthest bed room has low wifi signal. I bought this cause I thought range wouldnt be an issue in a smaller home like mine.

Hi Doomslayer,
If you have already placed the router centrally, we would suggest checking for, and if needed, updating its firmware using the steps outlined in FAQ 2139 on our official website: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2139/

Unit was great when we first got it. The only function I required was the ability to set a bedtime schedule for my kids, nothing crazy just the same bed time and wake up time - 7 days a week. Worked great until the trial premium security feature expired which I was unaware of was a premium feature?? Almost 400 dollars for a router that doesnt allow basic functions without paying a monthly fee???

It was easy to get running. I do live in a small 1000 ft single story apartment, so curious about its dead spot. It has a printer next to it. But a dead spot on the other side of the printer is curious

This is a large and expensive unit. As most do not have any Wi-Fi seven clients at the current time. This serves mostly as a very good performing Wi-Fi six router. The router is quite large, and must be positioned vertically as it does have mechanical internal antennas. on the back it has 10 Gb ethernet and fiber connections times two as well as 4 2.5 Gb ethernet lan connections. USB three drive is available. The large unit has a strange programmable LED display on the front. Most will simply turn this off in my opinion. I compared the performance with Wi-Fi five and Wi-Fi six clients at a similar distance to an eero pro Wi-Fi six mesh router. At all distances. The TP Link was faster, including 7 to 800 Mb per second 15 feet away through to sheet rock walls. The range was also superior to my earlier routers; however, a single unit does not adequately cover my 4000 square-foot two-story home, and I need it to retain my Wi-Fi six mesh router to cover the extremes of the house. I did purchase a deco mesh unit, hoping it would mesh with the BE 800; however, the deco units are in compatible with the non-deco mesh units. I did not have an additional TP Link non-deco mesh unit to test. Another surprising limitation is despite the presence od dual wan ports 10 Gb ports are on the back of the unit. It is not dual WAN compatible. A strange either or ? Perhaps this will be enabled in the future but I see no description on the website. This is a disappointment and a for expensive unit. The app is quite responsive. But for the price the options and program ability are limited compared to my earlier high end units.

This router provides a powerful WiFi-7 connection. Also, it provides separated IoT and guest network, which helps to protect privacy.
