I was losing Internet on my computer and phone, and trying to use my new Apple TV was a nightmare. I had an old dlink router and I was way overdue for a new one. I wanted one that would last awhile and one that was powerful enough to accommodate any future devices. I currently have 1 Apple TV, 2 iPhones, a laptop, desktop, wireless printer, and smart tv. I can't believe the difference this new router made. Two years of hp printer problems, Apple TV impossible, and laptop losing Internet connection. This router fixed every problem. It was easy to set up and the instructions were adequate. I don't care for the white color. It sticks out like a sore thumb, and the one sided stand is obtrusive and makes it hard to tuck back inside the entertainment center cabinet. Otherwise, I'm very pleased and would recommend it.

I got this router around a week ago and I cannot say enough good things about it! The short story on it is it's inexpensive (relatively), extremely easy to set up, the interface is quick and painless, firmware updates are effortless, and the range is jaw dropping. I normally hate wifi, and after having used 2.4Ghz 802.11n for the past 3 years and getting used to about a 1000 sqft range, I figured that was all one base station could do... boy was I wrong!
This TP-Link C9 has changed my whole network. I was previously using a Motorola SBG 6580 wireless gateway (see photo) but now I am using this. I have around 5,000 sqft of range now in 2.4Ghz and perhaps 3,500 sqft of useful range at 5Ghz. I have no issues picking up solid wifi in the road on the opposite end of my home. The bandwidth is phenomenal at 80-90Mbit from anywhere in the house now. My previous dead-spots (like the master bedroom) where I could only get around -70dB of signal are now -55dB or stronger (5x greater signal strength).
If you name your networks the same SSID for 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz then it runs a simultaneous dual-band network that all devices can interact with. My new Moto X (2014) automatically switches to the stronger/better network, and my older 802.11n devices have zero connection drops now. Don't waste your money on anything else. I encourage everyone reading this to get this router, enjoy the beauty of it and small footprint, and enjoy your new love of wifi 802.11ac.

The C9's range is exceptional. I've pretty much eliminated dead spots within my home (1500 square feet). The 3 external antennas allow for the great range and fast speeds. Overall, it is reliable. I rarely need to reset it, once or twice every 6 months at most. The aesthetics and color (white) are nice. The blue LED's are not too bright. It sits in my son's room and it doesn't bother him at all. The online interface is clean and easy to use. It doesn't have the same amount of customization options as a Netgear, D-Link, or Cisco, but all the mainstream consumer options are available. I would recommend this router. And for the price, I definitely recommend it.

I purchased the TP-Link Archer C9 to replace my Linksys router that just didn't have enough range to reach my devices in the far ends of my house. The TP-Link has range to spare, and was very easy to set up. I no longer experience drop outs when streaming to my smart TV, or using my tablets and laptop. It also works great as a print server for the devices in my network. I have it set up in my home office on the far end of my house, and I get a strong signal everywhere, even in my basement game room.

So I debated and tried other routers and ultimately ended up with this one. I never owned a TP-Link router and always had Cisco but I love this router. Easy to set up. Fast. Reliable. No issues at all.

Bought this to replace two older routers that were needed to provide coverage for my entire house - 3700 sqft one level concrete block. This one router provides better signal than the previous two so it is quite an upgrade. And now I can get full 40meg download speed on all my wireless devices so throughput is plenty for me. 5G band and guest network are a bonus. As of 9/2015, this router was tied for best 5G range by smallnetbuilder.com. Very happy with this purchase. Only con is it is a stand up style router which makes it stand out more.

I purchased the Archer C9 because my dsl modem/router's wireless range is terrible. I can't really comment on the C9's routing abilities because I'm using it as an access point. But seeing as how the routing is the simplest function I'm sure it's fine. I plugged the C9 into an ethernet cable, set it up as an access point, placed it near the center of my home, elevated it on top of a desk, and now have full signal all over my home, the garage, and even to the street. It does seem that in the most remote portions of my home that regardless of signal strength the speed might be affected on the 5ghz band, but that could just be the horrible dsl. I can't comment on the durability of the C9 but overall I'm very satisfied. A reasonable price and fast shipping from Best Buy also.

On sale for $129 and when compared to other routers for the price, this is the one to get. Most of my devices now use AC wireless technology so I was looking to upgrade my older LinkSys router. This was a very easy and quick setup, no troubles at all, and improved my range and speed dramatically. Highly recommend.

No issues at all.
Reaches all parts of the house.
Antennas are tall if you're trying to hide it but can be turned up/down.
Great router for 1/2 cost of some of the other gigabit brands out there (onHub, Linksys, Nighthawk).

This by far the best router I've ever owned, I've been using this router for almost 2 months now and it hasn't dropped or slowed down my connection not even once. This router is blazing fast on the 5Ghz band and it has a better wifi range then my old Cisco router. Setting up a wifi network was fast and easy right out of the box, I hate complicated setups this router guides you through the process with ease.

I've had three wireless routers and this was the easiest to get up and running. The user interface (admin panel) is intuitive and easy to use. Definite speed increase on devices that are AC ready (my new Lenovo computer). Coverage is the best I've had. Not sure if "beamforming" is just marketing hype but all our devices get a strong signal. Looking forward to an upcoming 5x speed increase from Time Warner that should bring our download speeds to 200 Mbps. Oh, and the unit is big but very Apple-esque (my Arris modem is also white).

Upgraded my router from a Belkin (G) something or other to this sleek bad boy. Wow. Speed test now pegging download speed at 72Mbps on the 5GHz channel, up from 20 (at best) on the Belkin, so now I have access to the internet speeds I pay for. Has a great app for managing the router. Not as deep as the web GUI, but works for daily activities. This thing is pretty big, but very attractive. I would (and already have) recommend to others. Good job TP-Link!

I upgraded from an old Linksys E4200 Wireless Router that needed to be replaced. This is a great router with excellent range and very fast performance with no drop outs. Only negative is that I received the old version 1.0 hardware and not the newer 2.0 version.
