Thank you for your review. Our AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Nano USB Adapter is designed to provide convenient Wi-Fi connectivity to a PC using an available USB port in a normal in-home Wi-Fi scenario. As long as your router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong at the adapter's location, it should be able to pick up the network and connect to it. Please note that 100ft within a home typically involves numerous obstructions, such as walls, appliances, and furniture, which may diminish your router's Wi-Fi signal before it can reach the PC's location.

Not sure if it was defective or just wrong for my PC, but it was unreliable and would even crash my computer sometimes. I'd recommend a pcie wifi card instead.

Really, the only way for an adapter to crash a PC is if there is a USB driver conflict. We would recommend removing any built-in adapter driver. Please install the official driver, especially if you are using the default driver in Windows. You can always contact TP-Link Support if needed at 866-225-8139

Needed this for a desktop on a computer in a new house where Ethernet was not wired in yet. A bit troublesome to set up but eventually worked fine. Lately it will only allow 20 mbs data to pass through. After updating driver, reinstalling, using Windows troubleshooting, & internet provider troubleshoot, I can't get this to work at anywhere near rated speed. It's not my mesh router, other devices pass data at 400 -500 mbs.

Keep in mind the rated speed listed on the package is the maximum possible combined transmit rate. It is not the internet speed you will see. You first want to check the link rate. Internet speeds are typically about 50% to 80% of the link rate. If your connection speeds are lower than this threshold then you need to look at the signal strength and test a mobile or wireless device at the same location and see what its speed look like. A network adapter's sole purpose is to provide a computer with the ability to connect to a wireless network. Died after 4 months of use. serial number is not printed anywhere on the device so good luck trying to get a warranty replacement.

While in most cases a serial number is required TP-Link can work with you if your product does not have it printed on it and you no longer have the packaging. All we would need is the proof of purchase showing where and when the product was purchased.
