I would totally recommend this for outdoor networking. I can finally get some of my smart lights in the backyard connected!

Using Deco products I can say mission accomplished.

Integrates perfectly with my existing Deco mesh network. Mounted to the outside of my metal detached garage and it gives me full signal inside and all the way out at my barn which is not line of sight from the garage and on the opposite side of said metal garage.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is the only outdoor deco that is currently offered.The wired backhaul is bottlenecked with the 1 GB port that means if you have higher speeds and took the time to run cables outdoors , you wont get speeds higher than around 900 mbs.I had to return because of that. I’ll wait till they offer an outdoor unit with better ports.

Taking two stars off for dropping my bandwidth on other Decos due to the fact that this doesn't support 240mHZ channel width. Lost another star for range of primary Deco and proximity is same or less than others, but only shows two bars. Line of sight to main deco is just a piece of wood in the way, makes no sense. Also configured to connect to a closer Deco unit, but still the same two bar connectivity. Makes little to no sense to me...

In your case, we first recommend that you make sure your Deco app and firmware are fully up to date and your Deco units are optimally positioned within your home and in proximity to each other.
Additionally, you may consider using the Connection Preference feature in the Deco app to ensure your X50-Outdoor node prioritizes connections to the specific Deco you want it to.
