TP Link Engineers troubleshot my network for hours, even installing beta firmware... All of my Decos got really slow, so i went into the app and did a Reboot of all Decos, which resulted in this Outdoor unit (the newest Deco I have) is now completely bricked. It bricked from a soft software reset. TP Link wants to omly offer me 10% off abother piece of junk replacement. This is my sign to get rid of all their equipment and move to another brand. You shouldnt have to tell a company to not log your web browsing data either. Seems like trashy expensive, unreliable spyware.

You will need a PIE device to power this. I bought a POE Switch to powr and run my internet connection to this device. Very happy with my purchase.

I have it in my garage mounted to a pole using the ties. Looks pretty slick and comes with a bunch of waterproofing content in case I wanted to move it outside. And so far my connection is strong all throughout my house and into my yard

Purchased the device and then the optional Security+. Spoofed IP addresses are getting right through the Deco and devices are being brute-force attacked. Tech Support was a complete waste of time. DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE.

Thank you for your review. The Deco X50-Outdoor offers multiple intuitive methods of connecting to your existing network so you can enjoy seamless Wi-Fi, even outdoors. If you already have a Deco Mesh network, it can conveniently connect using Mesh Wi-Fi. Alternatively, if preferred, it offers Ethernet Backhaul, which also supports PoE, to deliver power and network connectivity using this method.
