This device works great. I plugged into my outside outlets and then set up the device just like Kasa’s switches. You can wirelessly control either plug, Yes there are two outlets in each device. I plugged my outdoor Christmas lights into this device and then set up a schedule. Poof, like magic the Christmas lights come on and they go off on schedule, or I can control them from my iPhone or iPad using the Kasa app or Google or Alexa.

I’ve been looking for an outdoor smart plug for a long time and I’m extremely pleased to have found this one from TP Link. I have several TP Link indoor smart plugs and have found them very easy to setup and very reliable and this one is the same. Easy setup and precise control of on/off power makes this a great purchasing choice. Highly recommended.

Initially, I had a difficulty connecting to our network. Make sure to read and follow the instructions carefully. Once its connected, it works very well. The app is also easy to use. I was able to use this as both an indoor and outdoor plug.

I’ve only had this for a few weeks, but so far it is perfect. Has worked flawlessly every time. I’m very happy with it. Now I don’t have to reset the alarm and wake the little one because I forgot to unplug the Christmas lights. I just tell Alexa, and all is done. Only downside is that it just hangs from the outlet, or screws in to your house, and is a little unsightly, but I knew that going in so I won’t ding it for that.

I now have 3 of these of these in our home, and the first one was what got me buying all TP LINK products, EASY to connect to your home network, control via the app and set timers to turn on or off based on time of day, sunset or sunrise, you name it. Each of the plugs in the 2plug unit has its own name, timers etc.

I have a ton of kasa smart devices so this was a pretty easy decision. Works great for lights etc.

We used to use a timer but eventually the mechanism for that broke and this was cheaper. We love it! Not only can you set it for schedule/timer or just on and off but you can also use it manually if you don't have your phone. I like it because if I want to turn on Halloween or Christmas decorations outside not at the normal time I don't have to go out to do it.

Works great, easy to set up. Using to control my Christmas lights, and so much better than trying to use mechanical timers, turn them on myself, or the light sensors I was using before. To be perfect, it would have been nice if the plug was a flat one, with a slightly longer cord, as it's pretty short and tough to manage to secure flatly against the side of the house once you hook it up. Would be nice if the water covers for the plugs were attached to the unit and independent rather than a single piece of rubber, as not great when you only use one half of the unit and expect the other half to stay covered (I used a tamper-resistant safety plug instead so it stays in). Overall, I'd definitely buy again (I own 2), as it's almost perfect.

Needed to make turning on/off lights and blow up decorations outside of the house more efficient without the need to walk around every night. This definitely did the trick. You can set schedules for each outlet and control the power from just your phone with the app. Need to buy more for relatives!

I've been using this smart plug for about a year now and I am really happy with it. I have been using it outdoors, and it has been working flawlessly. It's really easy to set up. You just download the Kasa app to your phone and create/login to your account. Then just follow the easy prompts, and in minutes your are set up and running. You can also take the extra step to connect it to google/alexa/cortana, which I definitely recommend. I have been using mine with Google, and the functionality has been working perfectly for me. I'll also point out that each plug can be controlled separately. I have two different sets of outdoor lights, and I can turn either one on, or both. It's really nice to have this kind of flexibility. Overall I am just really happy with this plug. It was the first TP-Link - Kasa product that I bought, and I was so impressed that I decided all the smart light/power products in my home with be Kasa products.

When the need arose for a second outdoor smart plug, I had no reservations about purchasing another of the same product I already owned. The first one we purchased has held up well over the past three years, and it still works and looks as good as it did when we first bought it. The setup of this product is easy and the kasa app is pretty straightforward.
