Customer Ratings & Reviews

⭐️ Extremely Disappointed With the TP-615 Camera! Do not waste your money on this camera! I have had mine since February, and it has been nothing but a headache. The solar charging does NOT work on mine. The battery constantly runs down, and I have to take the camera down and recharge it over and over again. It also keeps disconnecting, and getting it working again can mean repeatedly restarting my phone. The customer service from this company has been just as disappointing. Getting help has been a frustrating experience, and the problems continue. I honestly don’t understand the positive reviews. My personal experience with this camera has been absolutely terrible. A security camera is supposed to give you peace of mind, not leave you constantly climbing up to take it down, recharging it, and trying to get it connected again. I would NOT recommend this camera to anyone. Save your money and your frustration, and look for something more reliable. I wouldn’t recommend it to my family, my friends, or anyone looking for a dependable security camera. 0/10 based on my personal experience. Extremely disappointed!

I been suffering to find some surveillance to keep safe and secure my house waill im out, and not anymore lost packages or deliveries, now i feels like im always there, is a very peace of mind, and affordable price, and not monthly payments as another's security services, thank you Best Buy, this is awesome

I bought this camera primarily to replace a similar camera I had from the ring brand because I no longer wish to accept their terms of not keeping my footage private. So far, this brand seems to uphold that at least to a greater degree than the other company I mentioned does. So for now, I will stick with these. This tp link C615F is actually a pretty good camera for the price, and it works pretty well. I do wish they had a version with better picture quality with this exact design. When you try to find that, it actually takes you to a different design camera that is wired, and I guess because being a wireless setup with the solar panel they went with a lower picture quality to preserve battery life. But in all honesty, if you have the solar panel in a good area for plenty of sunlight coverage I don't really see this being a problem, at least in the early stages of this camera's lifespan, which in my case is less than a month up to this point. Other than that, everything works really good, and I'm quite pleased with the device. It doesn't quite have the bells and whistles that I was used to with the other brand I had mentioned but I am okay with that and perfectly content with the switch nonetheless. I do like the fact that you can set up a profile where different alerts have a different sensitivity level of triggering an actual alert. For instance, you can set a person detection sensitivity level higher than say a pet alert sensitivity level. Also, when the flood light comes on, it has more than enough light to light up the area I have this camera in, and if it were too much, you can adjust the brightness of it and make it dimmer. You can also set how long it continues to record when something triggers it and the camera will follow whatever has triggered it, which is nice also. It has a patrol mode where you can make it scan back and forth to different areas that you would configure it to. I wish they had the ability in the Tapo app to configure it where different cameras had a different alert sound. That way you could tell which camera is being triggered before even looking at it. All in all though, I think this is a great device and I do not regret purchasing it at all.

I did my research prior to buying this camera and overall it has exceeded my expectations. The fact that it comes with a solar panel attached to it which you can actually install separately, makes the installation very easy and convenient. I have it on the outside pointing towards my garage door and it is definitely worth every penny. Resolution is neat due to its 2k capabilities. You get a 1-month free cloud storage service which I decided to keep because you can take advantage of several features like AI tracking for humans, cars, pets, events which you can access via smartphone. The application has lots of options like sensitivity, angles, scheduled 360 coverage. If you don't want to pay a monthly subscription, you can still use the 32 gb memory card slot to get full time recording. I only charged the camera once and it still has 95%-100% battery level since then, although it depends on how much activity and features you want to track.

This solar security camera has been a great purchase. The video quality is clear, the motion detection works well, and the solar panel keeps the battery charged with very little maintenance. The installation was easy, and I can monitor everything from the app wherever I am. I’m very satisfied with the performance and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable outdoor security camera.

Works great especially for the price rotates when it detects motion and the flashlight it has works great.

Easy to setup very clear picture. I have bought 10 of these to put all around my property love the AI mode

I have best cameras all around my house. We built a chicken coop and I didn’t want a $200 camera to watch over my chickens so I did a little research and Tapo came up with wonderful reviews so I bought it. We absolutely love it! Once our Nedt cams go out we will definitely be replacing them with Tapo. It’s a much clearer picture.

Works great no complaints light bright for the price. Camyra alerts works well.

Excellent camera beautiful picture an works well even if it's raining

Works great! The video is sharper then my more expensive camera.

I love the product. I do not have to charge the battery since I am able to charge with solar. I dont need a subscription is another great win to use this product line

It’s solar panel is a game changing feature that makes installation easy and you don’t have to worry about electrical installations. Also, tapo app is a great interface to manipulate the device remotely and keep track of what is going on when you’re outside.

Love this very easy to install and very clear and price was good

I have several of these around my property. First and foremost, the solar panel is excellent and keeps it well charged. The features are great and allow me to set up tracking easily. Tapo puts out a great camera with no need to pay a subscription. Just add a Micro SD card and all is good.

It’s a super great camara to have it works so good it’s a 360 it will record everything. The best part that you don’t have to worry about charging it since it’s solar and it’s easy to install

Great resolution! The solar panel keeps up with the battery charging. I definitely recommend this product for the price!

Easy setup the clarity colors all was in focus that you can see a wide range camera not following traffic as cars go by but when a car pulls up in the driveway then it starts tracking follows the company that comes out of the car and up to the door then able to speak and see them at the same time love it I would recommend this camera to all my friends

Got this camera to go with my doorbell cameras that work flawlessly. It worked great in the fall, but as soon as temps dropped below 32F that’s when the problems started. Solar panel won’t charge the battery and the battery won’t charge until it gets up to temp inside. With the 24 hour recording battery drops like a rock, and have to constantly reset the camera. I wouldn’t recommend this if you live in a colder state.

Works great. Coear pictures and picls up all activity as it should.
