Worked as advertised. It was pretty easy to access and set up to connect to the wi-fi networks to extend. Using the ethernet port to extend out with cable (which is why I brought this) worked easily too. I've had it going a couple of months now and have had zero issues with it. Hasn't dropped the network, nor any other connection issues so far.

The TP-Link RE505X exceeded my expectations! Setup was super easy — it took just a few minutes to pair with my main router. The Wi-Fi 6 support makes a noticeable difference in speed and stability. Previously, there were dead zones in my house where the signal was weak, but now I get full bars everywhere — streaming and gaming are totally smooth. Works really well! My apartment has horrible signal. Since plugging the extender in, we rarely have any issues with the wifi. It makes everything much easier! We used to get to frustrated having to reconnect our tv to the wifi 3-5 times during a movie, but now we never have to worry!

This increase the internet speed to the upstairs through 2 walls and a door. My husband works from home a few times a month and before purchase the connections would drop off. No more drops since buying in April of 25.

Had a 10 year-old Belkin N600 router that was choking on the 2.4 GHz WiFi and had limited range. I got a replacement $250 router, but that did the crash-and burn. The TP-Link RE505X extended the range of the N600 and was able to link with the Belkin's 5 GHz channel, HOWEVER, I had to download and install the TP-Link app onto my phone to get the 5GHz channel to link up to the Belkin as the second push of the WPS button just wouldn't engage the 5GHz channel as indicated by the TP-Link instructions. BUT: once the link was made manually through the app, the TP-Link has been flawless and high speed, as everything goes on the 5GHz channel now. So uplink/downlink speeds are higher than before and range is longer, for 1/3 the price of a new router. I did have to manually set all phones and tablets to use the extension channel through the TP-Link 5 GHz channel, but after the labor of all that setup all connections are nearly instant, automatic, and have high download speeds. The TP-Link comes back on line in a few seconds after being unplugged, so there are no drawbacks that I have experienced once the setup was done.

I picked up the TP-Link RE505X AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 Range Extender to solve a very specific problem in our house—my son’s room is the farthest from our main router, and his signal would constantly drop or barely register. It was especially frustrating for him when trying to do schoolwork or stream anything reliably. I plugged the extender in out in the garage, which sits between the router and his room upstairs, and the difference was immediate. What used to be a weak or unstable connection is now solid and consistent. He’s getting strong bars in his room, and we haven’t had any of the random dropouts that were happening before. Setup was quick and straightforward, and once it was up and running, it just worked—no constant tweaking or troubleshooting needed. For something so affordable, it made a huge impact on our home Wi-Fi. If you’ve got a dead zone or one room that just won’t hold a signal, this extender is absolutely worth it. It solved our problem completely.

I use it upstairs- I used to get no connection , you can run a lan cable through your pc/console from the range extender and it works so good!

Works very well and does actually extend the range of my wifi. I needed this to have my outdoor camera systems actually stay online and to connect to them without stalling or lagging. Works exactly for what I needed it for.

Good signal, easy setup, what more could I ask for? Finding the best spot in the house took the most of my time but i am happy with my purchase as this thing works as advertised. Very happy.

It was simple to setup, no glitches. The boosted signal works great. Remember to check that you don't place it too far from the WI-FI base otherwise it will drop the signal.
